Why participate in the Spring/Fall SBAC pilot?

Districts and schools will have the opportunity to interact with the software (student enrollment, test administrator interface) that will be part of the Smarter Balanced assessments.

Students will have the opportunity to interact with the software and some of the item types that will be part of the Smarter Balanced assessments.

Fall Pilot of the Career Pathways Assessment System(cPass)Who? 11th or 12th graders completed at least one CTE course or currently enrolled in a fall semester CTE course would be eligible.

When? Nov. 5th through Dec. 15th. 

How? The cPass pilot will use the new Kansas Interactive Testing Engine (KITE) system.

There is currently a link at the bottom of the Career Pathways website (above) to download KITE.

The KITE system will be available to receive student records beginning October 15th.

Information is forthcoming about a webinar orientation for KITE on October 16th.
