The Need
Prolonged mechanical ventilation may cause significant complications. Among these, injury to the trachea due to over inflation of the Airway cuff and Ventilator-Associated-Pneumonia (VAP) due to under inflation of the cuff, allowing aspiration of subglottic secretions to the lungs. These complications significantly increase the length and cost of hospitalization.
The Solution
Hospitech has developed a platform of solutions for airway management to reduce these complications.
The AnapnoGuard system is an automated, control unit. It’s the only available integrated, multi-function system, which combines two critical functions:
•Providing closed loop control of tracheal sealing and optimizing the cuff pressure, based on detection of CO2 leaks in the subglottic space, above the tube cuff, to achieve sealing at minimal pressure.
•Providing the most effective, simultaneous rinsing and evacuation of Subglottic Secretions, to avoid leakage of secretions to the lungs.
The system consists of a digital control unit AnapnoGuard 100s, a multi lumen proprietary endotracheal tube (AG ETT) and a disposable proprietary Connection Kit (AG Connection Kit).

Development of products to improve insulin injection therapy
