Now and then name fellow wants to do some side grinding and doesn’ t have a wheel suited to i t . The flanges are too big fo r this Job; so he takes one o f f and puts a smaller one or maybe just a nut large enough to hold the wheel .That’ s rea lly a fo o l thing to d o .I t throws the wheel o f f balance and causes overspeeding to boot because he flanges give the wheel most o f Its support. And side grinding on a wheel not meant for i wears the wheel away where i t most needs i t s fu l l strength - Just beThe accident reports show that nearly

No matter what the setup, no one has any business doing a grinding job without eye protection . We'd a l l rea lize that f a c t , i f we only knew how many p artic les o f steel and wheel f ly o f f from even the smallest Job and I t we could see those particles with th eir sharp, Jagged edges. So ALWAYS wear eye protection when you use an abrasive wheal.
