Teen Nights of Faith and Fun Students in grades 7 to 12, we invite you to two nights of fun, July 15-16 (7pm - 9pm) with our seminarians Robert and Matt!
This weekend, marks the 50th anniversary of our current church. Because of the COVID pandemic, we are planning to move our par-ish celebration to September with a community pig roast. It is amazing to think of all the people who have helped our parish to become what it is today. Think about our ancestors, who put the parish first and sacrificed leisure and luxury to build our parish with the little money they had. Think about our priests, who have served and led the faithful deeper into the mysteries of faith with their gifts and talents. We cannot come to know the truth without getting to know God first. With all of the hatred and violence we may ask, “where is God?” Instead ask, “where am I on my journey of faith with God?” The absence of God and His Church leads to chaos!

Stewardship Moment - June 14th 2020 Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ
“Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one
bread.” 1 Corinthians 10:17 As disciples of Jesus, we are called to lead holy lives and invite others to join us. Living a stew-ardship lifestyle, being grateful and generous with our gifts, serves a twofold purpose. One, it helps build God’s kingdom here on earth. Two, it helps us strengthen each other’s relationship with God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It becomes our roadmap to Heaven. Let’s help each other get there!

Eucharist — Come, Eat this
Living Bread from Heaven!
The feast of Corpus Christi, or the Most Holy Body
and Blood of Christ, is a day for Catholics to cele-brate transubstantiation. This is our belief that during Mass, the bread and wine are miraculously changed
into the real body and blood of Jesus. For many non-Catholics, it is easier to believe that God provided manna in the desert than to accept that
regular bread and wine are transformed into the real presence of Christ. Sometimes people only trust what
they can see with their eyes. But by definition, faith is belief without proof.
God provided manna to the people in the desert so they would not starve. The supply was steady and abundant. It was their sustenance until they reached
their destination. The manna in the desert was a mir-acle that satisfied the people’s physical needs. Jesus, as given to us in the Eucharist, is our nourishment.
He is the Living Bread that will sustain us through our journey toward eternal life. He is available daily and to all who believe. Transubstantiation is the mir-
acle that feeds our spiritual needs. We do not need to see it in order to believe it is true. This is our faith.
Starting next weekend, on Father’s Day,
We invite you to join us in praying for 33 days to con-secrate ourselves to St. Jo-seph. The world today needs a good, strong father figure, and we can learn by follow-ing St. Joseph. In this book, there are 33
short daily pages to pray every day. Books are available in the entrance of the church for $10. Please secure your copy and leave your dona-tion today. At the conclusion, we will have a parish consecration and dedication in July.
Our sympathies to the family of
Elizabeth Schumacher Date of Death: June 5th
Funeral: June 11th at 10:30am May her soul, & the souls of all the faithful
departed, thru the mercy of God, rest in peace!
