Torch Light Parade: 9:00pm (Free); Lost Valley Ski Area - 784-1561; you MUST see this beautiful parade of
skiers & snowboarders holding torches, skiing downhill in unison. It is breath-taking! Fireworks presented by
Spectrum Healthcare Partners immediately following (around 9:00PM)

daylight hours for children to climb & enjoy!

Valentine-Making: 11:00am to 2:00pm L-A Arts and The Women’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County will
host an afternoon of family-oriented Valentine-making and refreshments at the Foss Mansion: 19 Elm Street.
Top It Frozen Yogurt: 1:00 - 3:00PM; Visit us at 168 Main Street, where the kids can make
a FREE marshmallow snowman. Limit 1 per child.
Family Movie: 1:00 - 3:00pm (Free); Auburn Public Library will be screening “Trolls” in the
Androscoggin Community Room. Juice and crackers will be provided. Parents must remain
with kids during the movie.

Baxter Outdoor “Lost Valley Winter Duathlon”!
Baxter Outdoors continues the Packed Powder Series at Lost Valley Ski Area. We will snowshoe and Nordic
ski our way through the woods of central Maine. The race can be tackled as a solo 5km snowshoe, solo
10km duathlon, or team 10km duathlon. The 5km snowshoe course will take place on single track trails
throughout the woods. The Nordic course will be set on the Auburn Nordic Ski Association trails. XC Skiers
will race at 9:00am. Duathlon teams will transition directly into their snowshoe leg. Solo snowshoers will

Pet the Ponies: 11:00am - 2:00pm (Free); Maple Hill Farms (Brickwell Barn) located at 2054 North River Rd.
in Auburn; Pet a pony or a very big draft horse! Warm up with hot chocolate; take home some yummy baked
goods; visit the rescued horses; enter a raffle; free coloring/activity books! Weather & footing permitting,
we will also have a horse-drawn log twitching and sleigh demonstration. The donation box will be out if
you would like to help keep the horses in hay; as little as $5 buys a bale of hay and a little ‘thank you’ gift.
Family Sledding: 11:00am - 2:00pm (Free); United New Auburn Association is hosting sledding, skating,
and snow shoeing at Sherwood Heights Elementary School.
St. Dom’s Winter Carnival: 1:00pm to 4:40pm at various locations (FREE); 1:00pm - 4:00pm will be at St.
Dom’s Academy; Explore St. Dom’s and enjoy hot cocoa & cookies, games, sledding & more! 3:10 - 4:40pm
will be at Norway Savings Bank Arena free hockey clinic and public skate.
Saturday, January 26 Join us in the Roopers WinterFest Party Tent, home of the Gritty’s Ice Bar
