Kendal Intergenerational News:

This month we will be having a story about camping and

enjoy a nice tasty camping treat in the Langston on Thursday,

Thursday, August 18th

at 3pm. We hope you will join us as a

good time will be had by all.

Kendal at Oberlin is walking in the Alzheimer’s Walk in

Oberlin at Tappan Square. We would love for you to join

us on Saturday, September 24th

, 2016.

From the KELC Teachers:

From the Classroom:

July certainly flew by for the birds and giraffes in the classroom! The children really enjoyed all the fun activities this past

month. We enjoyed exploring Tappan Square, and the children showed us all their favorite spots including the swing, the

monument, and the bandstand! We had a visit from the Metro Parks as well. They brought a live Box Turtle. It really was a

great experience. We have also had many water days to cool off from the hot temperatures. The splash pad was a great hit

as well as just getting out the sprinkler; the children are having a blast! We are also learning a little Spanish in the classroom

as our new friend Irineu (E-di-now) has joined the class. He is joining us from Northern Spain and will be with us for a few

months. August is going to be busy with a lot of new friends starting. The beginning of the month we will have another visit

from the Metro Parks to learn about dinosaurs to finish off our study. We will also have our annual Fair trip in August. We

look forward to meeting all of our new friends and some old ones returning.

Have a great summer! Karen, Mary, Sara, Macie and Robin
