August 23rd 2019 From the Principal’s Desk…. The School Opinion Survey closes today. Thanks to those families for completing the survey online already. Your feedback is important to us. Students from years 4 to 6 completed the student opinion surveys at school in the last week. Yesterday I attended a Regional Development Day in Toowoomba. The professional learning was invaluable. Some schools in our region shared their best practice. In all, principals were able to observe four presentations from other schools. There are a lot of great things happening in the DDSW Region. We form a community of learners who can share and learn from each other. Haden SS is a part of this community of learners. Attendance Data has dropped a little this term. Please ensure that children attend school when they are well enough. If children are unwell, then home is the best place for them. We had an amazing array of costumes celebrating Book Week 2019. Thank you so much for joining in the spirit of dressing up for Book Week last Wednesday. We all had a lot of fun. Thanks also to our staff for dressing up. Our students appreciated that you made the effort. The whole school excursion to Amaroo Environmental Education Centre is on Monday 9 September. The school will pay for the bus. Families are asked to pay the admission fee of $9 per student. Please fill out the permission form attached and return with the payment by Friday 6 September. Thank you. We have been preparing for this excursion for several weeks already. Haden SS will celebrate NAIDOC in Week 9, commencing with the excursion to Amaroo. From the Principal’s Desk….

The whole school excursion to Amaroo Environmental Education Centre is

on Monday 9 September. The school will pay for the bus. Families are

asked to pay the admission fee of $9 per student. Please fill out the

permission form attached and return with the payment by Friday 6

September. Thank you. We have been preparing for this excursion for

several weeks already. Haden SS will celebrate NAIDOC in Week 9,

commencing with the excursion to Amaroo. We are using some great

resources from the Crackerjack Education Website. Some of the resources

on the website are free, if you are interested.
