WESTWOOD HIGH IS PROUD TO BE AN A+ SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE™
Student Pick Up and Drop Off
Student pick up and drop off is not allowed in the small parking area by the front office. Parents are encour-
aged to drop off and pick up their students in the student parking lot. Regretfully, we cannot provide specific
information at this time due to the construction that is ongoing on our campus throughout the summer. How-
ever, student pick up and drop off information will be provided as soon as it is available. Thank you for your
patience and cooperation.
Important to Know:
Messages for students, absent excuses, and students pulled from class can only be done by a parent or guardian with ID. Every call for your student is screened for authenticity and legal issues by our attendance clerks. This is for the safe-ty and security of the student. In order to assist you more efficiently, our phones go directly to voicemail when attend-ance lines are busy or if they are helping people at the counter. Attendance does experience a high volume of calls be-tween the hours of 7:30am and 10:00 am. To better assist you in checking out your student early, please call at least 30 minutes before the release time to ensure that your student gets out when needed. Be aware that there will be a delay in your student’s departure if you leave a message during high volume times due to the amount of messages and walk-ins. If someone other that a parent/guardian is picking up the student, please notify us prior to their arrival. We are required to have contact with a parent/guardian and failure to do so may delay their departure.
