The Rise of NCD’s Non-Communicable Diseases

Alarming increase in neurological diseases in NCD’s:•Parkinson's•Alzheimer's•Dementia•Attention Deficit Disorder•Autism-spectrum disorders•Depression•Bipolar Disorder•Fibromyalgia

Causes:•Trauma•a sedentary lifestyle•Artificial sweeteners like aspartame•Pesticides - GMO’s•MSG & other neuro-toxins•Vaccinations

44 yo woman

•Gut dysbiosis- disruption of the normal flora•vaccine and their additives like mercury (thimerosal), aluminum•Microbial toxins- mold, fungi, etc…•genetically engineered foods•agricultural chemicals•food additives•food processing techniques—all of which destroy gut flora•Vitamin D deficiency in pregnant women •Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) from cell phones, cell towers, and Wi-Fi devices

Causes of Autism

Rise of NCD’s will Bankrupt the world by 2030 WHO 47 Trillion USD’s

Americans get sick more often than Europeans and people in other industrialized countries.

And since the mid-1990sthe number of Americans has nearly doubled suffering from:•chronic diseases•Heart disease•Asthma•Cancer•diabetes

America’s infant mortality has increasedand life span has plunged

How Your Gut Flora Directs Your Immune System

1.Th1 immunity is responsible for normal reactions to anything in your environment, *Th1 is kept robust and healthy by your gut flora.*TH1- cell mediated response from mucus membranes*if your gut flora is abnormal, your Th1 become increasingly disabled

2.Th2 immunity *TH2-vaccines (puncture wound so the body needs an immediate response this is why there is no lifetime immunity from vaccinations, because the proper immune system cells are not built) *inflammatory reaction = inflammatory cytokines*allergies and intolerances.

80% of your immune system resides in your gut

•your body sees food as an alien object•something that cannot be found in nature•Your immune system attack it•creating an inflammatory reaction•heart disease•Obesity•Diabetes•Dementia•Depression•Cancer•Autismautism has increased 600% since GM foods were introduced

diabetes has nearly tripled in the past two decades

Since 1996, when GM foods were introduced into our diet, several digestive disorders have skyrocketed

Sodium benzoate •Preservative•carbonated drinks, fruit juices•condiments such as salsa•promote infections and cancer by shutting off oxygen from cells•may also increase risk of Parkinson's and neuro-degenerative diseases.

•Sodium nitrate•processed meats•can cause DNA damage•higher risk of type 2 diabetes•Alzheimer's, Parkinson's•cancers of the digestive tract•increasing risk of heart disease.

•Monosodium glutamate•Heart palpitations•headaches, •sweating, •burning sensations•Damage Nerves in the brain •Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Elderly hospital patients who are given a common type of sedative to help them sleep have an increased risk of symptoms of delirium,

70% increased risk of symptoms of delirium. 300% increase of inattentive 300% increase of altered consciousness 500% of disorganized speech

These drugs block the actions of an important brain chemical called acetylcholine and can cause hallucinations, among other symptoms.

Antihistamines Benadryl and Sominex

Anticholinergic drugs block a nervous system neurotransmitter called acetylcholine. Those suffering from Alzheimer's disease typically have a marked shortage of acetylcholine.

Examples include night-time pain relievers, antihistamines, and other sleep aids, such as:

Excedrin PM Tylenol PM Nytol Sominex Unisom Benadryl Dramamine

"Simply put, we have confirmed that anticholinergics, something as seemingly benign as a medication for inability to get a good night's sleep or for motion sickness, can cause or worsen cognitive impairment, specifically long-term mild cognitive impairment which involves gradual memory loss. “

The study doesn't disprove the theory that inflammation is a factor in Alzheimer's, though, says Jason Karlawish, "Negative studies like this that fail to prove the hypothesis leave thousands of questions to be answered," Karlawish

During the study, 476 people developed dementia, and heavy NSAID users had a 66% higher risk of developing the condition than those with low or no use

(NSAIDs) caused a greater than 10-fold increase in the risk of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

Archives of Internal Medicine June 2000; 160: 777-784.

The study followed more than 80,000 women between the ages of 31 and 50 years who were initially hypertension-free.

two years later women who used NSAIDs 22 days or more per month, the risk of

high-blood pressure increased some 86 percent.

Nonetheless, it was concluded that a large portion of U.S. hypertension cases may be the result of over-using these pain medications

Drugs that are known to cause epigenetic changes include :•statin cholesterol-lowering drugs,•antidepressants, •beta blockers •Diuretics • tamoxifen •methotrexate, •anti-inflammatories •even anesthetics, •oral contraceptives• antibiotics. Permanent changes in the epigenome Researchers are most concerned that drugs may produce defects in subsequent generations. They speculate that the current diabesity epidemic may be hastened by drugs.

PPI’s Increase Adenocarcinoma’s

Proton pump inhibitor (PPI) use leads to hypergastrinaemia, which has been associated with gastrointestinal neoplasia incidence rate ratios (IRRs) were observed among PPI users with the largest number of … gastric cancer incidence, the finding of increased incidence among PPI users with most prescriptions and longest follow-up warrants further investigation.

In Alzheimer’s disease (AD), an association with cholesterol is recognized, although poorly understood and often overlooked.

A study on membranes prepared from cortical grey matter of AD patients showed that the cholesterol… was reduced by 30%

This aberrant pattern could be restored to that found in the membranes from non-AD controls by cholesterol enrichment of the AD membranes.

It is of interest, therefore, that mice[cholesterol deficient] show many of the neurotransmitter deficits and loss of memory that are characteristic of AD

Correspondingly, there is evidence that induced depletions of neuronal cholesterol can affect synaptic plasticity and neurodegeneration

Mayo Clinic study of 11,000 people found that diabetics had a greater decline in cognitive processing speed… and dementia

6,370 patients, ages 55 and older, Dutch researchers …type 2 diabetes faced nearly a 9% increased risk of developing dementia – and Alzheimer's disease

Harvard Medical School researchers …2,300 women, 70 to 78 years old. Women without diabetes were more than twice as likely to score better than those with diabetes.

"Based on calculations within the women in our study, we found that having diabetes was equivalent to aging 4 years in terms of scores”

10,000 people, cognitive test scores were compared six years apart. Diabetes was associated with greater cognitive decline in participants aged 40 to 70 years old,

13 studies were included. Of 34 533 patients, 18 315 received intensive glucose lowering treatment and 16 218 standard treatment.

a more than twofold increase in the risk of severe hypoglycaemia.

Over a treatment period of five years, 150 patients would need to be treated to avoid one myocardial infarction

142 patients to avoid one episode of microalbuminuria

2002, the journal Lancet polio vaccine was responsible for up to half of the 55,000 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cases that were occurring each year.

SV40, a cancer-causing monkey virus•1994,Dr. Michele Carbone, a Loyola University researcher, found the virus SV40, which had never before been detected in humans

•in half of the human lung tumors•60 different lab studies have confirmed the results•Lung cancers•Brain cancers•Bone cancers•lymphatic cancers

133 children were vaccinated and 121 remained unvaccinated

Condition Vaccinated Unvaccinated

Asthma 20 (15.0%) 4 ( 3.3%)

Eczema or allergic rashes 43 (32.3%) 16 (13.2%)

Chronic otitis 26 (19.5%) 8 ( 6.6%)

sudden infant death syndrome 9 ( 6.8%) 2 ( 1.7%)

Hyperactivity 10 ( 7.5%) 1 ( 0.8%)

Thus, in a society where more than 50% of its vaccinated children are reported to have at least one chronic illness at some

time during their childhood, for informed parents,

measles virus is present in the gut of children linked to the triple measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination

The authors include Andrew Wakefield, whose work at London's Royal Free Hospital in 1998 first raised fears that MMR vaccination may trigger bowel disorders and autism in susceptible children.

ileocolonic lymphonodular hyperplasis, a new form of inflammatory bowel disease that has been described in children with developmental disorder.

The authors conclude that the virus may act as an immunological trigger.Molecular Pathology April 2002

Aluminum Injected

•Currently children are getting 17 shots containing aluminum•quadrupling of the amount given since the 1970’s•Hepatitis A• Hepatitis B• DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis)• MMR• Hib• Pneumococcal • Gardasil (HPV) vaccines

over a milligram of Aluminum; a concentration & dosage that is 10 – 20 times more toxic than Mercury

Multiple vaccines are far worse, over a 1000 micrograms on average for a triple set shot Liked to auto-immune disorders: Downs Syndrome, Autism, Schizophrenia, ALS, Lupus, Parkinson’s & Alzheimer’s Disease

Fluoridated Water

aluminum is neuro-toxic and is in abnormally high concentrations in the brain of Alzheimers and other neurological disease victims,....

When floridated water is used in cooking in aluminum cookware, it concentrated the aluminum by 833 times and increased the fluoride content by 100%.

carbonated beverages and processed foods distilled from fluoridated water

scientific evidence has revealed that fluoride saturations are evident in nearly every food available on the market

•Vaccines, in several reports were found to be temporally followed by a new onset of autoimmune diseases

•The same mechanisms that act in infectious invasion of the host, apply equally to the host response to vaccination

• It has been accepted for diphtheria and tetanus toxoid, polio and measles vaccines and GBS.

• MMR vaccination and development of autoimmune thrombocytopenia

•MS has been associated with HPV vaccination

insulin's major role is not to lower sugar, but to take the extra energy when available and store it for future times of need.

Insulin lowers glucose as a side effect of directing the extra into storage.

when insulin is kept low either through diet or via genetic manipulation animals live much longer and the rate of aging is significantly reduced.

the major symptoms of aging -- diabetes, heart disease, obesity, osteoporosis, dementia, cancer

low insulin is a signal that energy is scarce and animals need to focus their energy needs on maintaining and repairing themselves so that they can outlive the famine

coconut oil is a brain fuel. The damage done to your brain from the wrong foods and from unbalanced insulin and leptin levels begins decades before you show any of the telltale signs of Alzheimer's.The coconut oil or MCTs should also be taken in the morning, takes a minimum of three hours for the oil to convert to ketones and reach your brain. Repeating the dose of four tablespoons of coconut oil twice a day Gradually add more coconut oil every few days until you are able to tolerate four tablespoons.

MS, Parkinson's Symptoms Reversed A study evaluated the data from 44 MS

patients and 37 PD patients who received treatment over a five-year period.

Results of Treating Upper Neck Injuries in 81 Patients •91 percent of MS patients showed improvement •92 percent of PD patients showed improvement

When Neck Injuries are Left Untreated Upper neck injuries usually occur as the result of accidents in

which the individual sustains a sudden hit to the head.

Symptoms of MS and PD could surface in months, years or even decades following the accident.

Often, the individual doesn't even realize the extent of the injury they sustained.

Cigarettes became really popular in America in the early 20th century, between 1910 and 1920.

•scientists and government agencies told us tobacco was safe.

•1944, the American Cancer Society “no definite evidence exists” between smoking and lung cancer.

•1967 that a Surgeon General’s Report concluded that smoking is the principal cause of lung cancer, and found evidence linking smoking to heart disease

About one in 12 people in the United States now has asthma, a total of 24.6 million people and an increase of 4.3 million since 2001, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday. The costs of medical care for these patients increased by about 6% between 2002 and 2007, totaling $56 billion in the latter year, according to information in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. The increases come, surprisingly, despite improved air quality throughout most of the country and widespread decreases in smoking. "We don't know exactly why the rate is going up," Ileana Arias, principal deputy director of the CDC, said in a news conference. "But measures can be taken to control asthma symptoms, and exacerbations and many asthma attacks can be prevented," she said.Asthma is a chronic disease that is marked by wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness and nighttime and early morning coughing. Common triggers include tobacco smoke, mold, air pollution and infections such as influenza and colds. The disease is generally treated with two classes of medications: beta-agonists to provide quick relief when patients are having symptoms, and inhaled corticosteroids or a combination of steroids and long-acting beta-agonists to control persistent asthma.

75 million Americans suffer from major depressive disorder anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder,

•chronic brain inflammation.•MSG on your brain and mood•connections between pesticides and neurological disorders•vaccinations cause brain inflammation•impact of an expanding vaccine schedule

Current recommendations by the CDC for adult vaccinations include a total of 14 separate inoculations with infectious agents and powerful immune adjuvants.

Parkinson’s Disease caused by Toxicity and/or Trauma

Toxicities: • Pesticides• MSG• Excess Iron•Trauma•alcohol abuse•Neurotoxins (Neuro = Nerve Toxins = Poison)

• RX medication:Tylenol ( leading cause of liver damage) , anticonvulsant medications (such as dilantin, phenytoin and primidone) metformin (sometimes prescribed to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes) sulfasalazine (used for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) triamterene (a diuretic for high blood pressure) methotrexate (used for cancer and other diseases ie: rheumatoid arthritis) barbiturates (used as sedatives)

Deficiencies:• Decreased Folate • Not enough good fats (omega 3’s)

WARNING: SUICIDALITY AND ANTIDEPRESSANT DRUGSAntidepressants increased the risk compared to placebo of suicidal thinking and behavior (suicidality) in children, adolescents, and young adults in short-term studies of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric disorders. Anyone considering the use of PROZAC or any other antidepressant in a child, adolescent, or young adult must balance this risk with the clinical need.

Prozac Black Box Warning Quote Hippocratic oath

“I will use those dietary regimens which will benefit my patients according to my greatest ability and judgement, and I will do no harm or injustice to them.I will not give a lethal drug to anyone if I am asked, nor will I advise such a plan; and similarly I will not give a woman a peccary to cause an abortion.”

How Exercise Helps Older Brains•moderate exercise can reverse normal brain shrinkage by two percent, effectively reversing age-related hippocampus degeneration by one to two years•the people in the control group who didn't exercise saw an average of 1.4 percent decrease in hippocampus size

According to the research team:"We demonstrate that loss of hippocampal volume in late adulthood is not inevitable and can be reversed with moderate-intensity exercise."

Other contributing factors to brain …include•decrease in blood flow to your brain (Blood pressure drugs)•the accumulation of environmental toxins in your brain (Vaccinations)

Exercise •increasing blood flow to your brain•increasing oxygen supply to your brain•encouraging a more vigorous release of accumulated toxins through better blood circulation•Increased blood flow increases nutrients necessary to keep your brain cells

MERCURY LINKED TO ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE!

Scientists have shown that trace amounts of mercury can cause the type of damage to nerves that is characteristic of the damage found in Alzheimer’s disease

Humans with mercury/silver amalgam dental fillings. found that exposure to mercury caused the  formation of “neurofibrillar tangles,” which are one of the two diagnostic markers  for Alzheimer’s disease.

Previous research has shown that mercury can cause the formation of the other Alzheimer’s disease marker, “amyloid plaques.” The scientists also exposed the test nerves to other elements, including aluminum, but found that only mercury caused the damage consistent with Alzheimer’s disease.

“Either this [link] is known by industry and it was never made public, or industry was never made to do these studies by Health Canada. I’m not sure which is scarier.”

Similar adjuvants are used in the following vaccines, according to Shaw’s paper: hepatitis A and B, and the Pentacel cocktail, which vaccinates against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, and a type of meningitis.

...“No one in my lab wants to get vaccinated,” he said. “This totally creeped us out. We weren’t out there to poke holes in vaccines. But all of a sudden, oh my God—we’ve got neuron death!” ---

average person older than 65 takes seven different drugs a day

elderly people average prescriptions for more than 28 different medications yearly.

IOM medication-related problems kill more than 100,000 people each year.

Adverse drug effects are especially problematic in elderly persons who have age-related changes in metabolism and excretion that affect pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics.

Studies have found that up to 30% of hospital admissions of elderly patients are linked to toxic drug effects and that one in three older patients will have an adverse drug reaction while hospitalized.

Polypharmacy sets the stage for life-threatening adverse drug effects, nonadherence, and drug-drug interactions

Bt trait indeed led to a reduction in insecticide use of 123 million pounds between 1996 and 2011. But that figure is dwarfed by the 527 million pound, GMO-driven increase in herbicide use over the same period. In other words, GMOs have added more than four pounds of herbicides to US farm fields for every pound of insecticide they've taken away. Overall, Benbrook found, GMOs have lead to a net increase in pesticide use (meaning herbicides plus insecticides) of 404 million pounds, a 7 percent gain. And just as weeds developed resistance to year-after-year applications of Roundup, corn's number-one insect pest, the rootworm, is quickly evolving to be able to withstand Bt-engineered corn, as I've reported before. Benbrook told me that in areas of the Midwest where farmers have been planting Bt corn year after year—an increasingly popular practice, since the explosion in ethanol production that started in 2006—ag university extension experts are suggesting that farmers spray other insecticides to supplement the failing Bt trait in their corn. "The goal of this technology was to make it possible not have to spray these corn insecticides, and now we have to spray them again to bail out this technology," Benbrook told me.

Two small trials published in 2000 and 2004 by Matthew Muldoon, a clinical pharmacologist at the University of Pittsburgh, seem to suggest a link between statins and cognitive problems. The first, which enrolled 209 high-cholesterol subjects, reported that participants taking placebo pills improved more on repeated tests of attention and reaction time taken over the course of six months—presumably getting better because of practice, as people typically do. Subjects who were on statins, however, did not show the normal improvement—suggesting their learning was impaired. The second trial reported similar findings. And a study published in 2003 in Reviews of Therapeutics noted that among 60 statin users who had reported memory problems to MedWatch, more than half said their symptoms improved when they stopped taking the drugs

Can Too Many Medications Cause Symptoms of Dementia?Polypharmacy and Drug-Induced Cognitive Impairment

Toxic reactions to drugsMedications can cause mental decline

With aging, the liver becomes less efficient at metabolizing drugs, and the kidneys eliminate them from the body more slowly. As a result, drugs tend to accumulate in the body. Elderly people in poor health and those taking several different medications are especially vulnerable. The list of drugs that can cause dementia-like symptoms is long:

•antidepressants•antihistamines•anti-Parkinson drugs•anti-anxiety medications•cardiovascular drugs

•anticonvulsants•corticosteroids•narcotics•sedatives
