Mit dem neuartigen Steckverbinder für Schellladesysteme bie-tet Multi-Contact die Möglichkeit zum automatischen Laden von Elektrofahrzeugen (Busse, Lastwagen, Boote und andere Fahrzeuge). Auf diese Weise ist es möglich, innerhalb kurzer Zeit hohe Leistungen zu übertragen wodurch der Energie speicher schnell wieder aufgela den werden kann.Dies ermöglicht z. B. den öffentlichen Personennahverkehr in Innenstädten leise und lokal emissionsfrei zu realisieren, ohne eine unwirtschaftliche, große und schwere Batterie zu integ-rieren. Die benötigte gespeicherte Energie wird reduziert, das Nachladen kann auf der Strecke ohne Beeinträchtigung des Fahrbetriebs oder als Alternativmöglichkeit während längeren Stopps an den Endhaltestellen stattfinden.

With its innovative connector for rapid charging systems, Multi-Contact offers an option for automatic charging of elec-tric vehicles (buses, trucks, boats, and other vehicles). This makes it possible to transmit high levels of power quickly, which ensures fast recharging of energy storage devices.This rapid charging solution enables, for instance, noise- and emission-free inner-city public transportation without the necessity for uneconomical large and heavy batteries. The amount of stored energy required is reduced, and the bus can be re-charged along its route, without affecting vehicle opera-tion. Alternatively, the bus can be charged during longer stops at the end terminal.
