The Aerospace Gateway to Industry Schools Program (AGISP) was established in 2004 to support the growth and development of an effective workforce for the aviation industry sector.

This program provides opportunities for young people to participate in:

Plane work experience

Plane school-based apprenticeships and traineeships

Plane industry tours

Plane hands on “real world” projects

Plane direct entry into university programs*

Plane subject-based entry rank adjustments via QTAC

Plane industry talks

Plane and so much more….

The program currently involves a total of 19 Queensland secondary schools (government and non-government), and over 30 industry partners, local aerospace entities, training institutions and universities creating pathways for students into Queensland's aerospace industry.

Technical skills are the abilities and knowledge needed to perform specific tasks. They are both theoretical and practical, and often hands on relating to mechanical, information technology, mathematical, or scientific tasks.

Air Traffic Controller Residency requirements: You must be at least 18 years of age and an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or an Australian Permanent Resident.Educational requirements:You must be able to provide evidence that you have obtained ONE of the following requirements in the past 10 years:• a Year 12 Certificate• a completed Tertiary Diploma• a completed Degree• a current Commercial Pilot Licence or Private Pilot Licence

Cert II in Security Operations / Security Officer Licence, First aid & CPR certificate, driver license

Airport Operations Officer (AFP Officer) Year 12 or year 10+Cert IV in any trade, aged 18, Australian Citizen, valid driver license, physical fitness and excellent health, first aid certificate, confident swimmer*

Aviation Firefighter Year 10 Certificate plus min two years fulltime paid employment. Current manual driver licence. Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent^

Customs Officer At least 18 years of age, Australian citizen, have a driver license, complete a three-year or equivalent bachelor degree at an Australian university^^

Immigration Officer At least 18 years of age, Australian citizen, have a driver license, complete a three-year or equivalent bachelor degree at an Australian university^^
