Axis Long Term Equity FundLaunched in December 2009,Axis Long Term Equity Fund is an equity-linked savings scheme (ELSS). Retail investors can look atELSSto avail tax benefits as funds under this category are eligible for a deduction up to an investment of Rs 1.5 lakhs under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act.

Investment objectiveThe investment objective of the Scheme is to generate income and long-term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity related Securities. The fund will invest in a diversified portfolio of strong growth companies with sustainable business models. Though the benchmark is BSE- 200, the investments will not be limited to the companies constituting the benchmark.
