PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The Program, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology is the broadest areas of engineering activity. It describes the application of principles of physics for analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. It requires a solid understanding of core concepts including applied mechanics, application of engineering principles and technological developments to the creation of useful machinery or products. The management area prepares students to manage people, resources, and systems related to mechanical engineering and manufac-turing. Students are expected to appreciate the ethical and societal responsibilities of a technologist, the concepts of Continuous Quality Improvement, and the continuing impact of globalization of design, manufacturing, and marketing of technical goods and services.
PROGRAMME AIM
Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering that concentrates looks into design, production and usage and operation of machines. The goal of the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology program is to provide students with the necessary training and education so they can provide high-level of technical support to a variety of industrial, commer -cial, consulting, and governmental organizations. This study eld aims to analyze, manufacture and design mechanical systems. It uses concepts of material theory and physics. Mechanical engineering includes kinemat-ics, dynamics, thermodynamics, structural science, material analysis, physics, etc. Students can mainly work in manufacturing rms in public or private sector, research institutions of business environment.
Minimum Duration : 48 Months.
