MVeriFone’s Back Office Partner Program helps jump-start the integration of your back office software with the best selling petroleum/c-store point-of-sale systems in the industry—Ruby, Ruby2, Topaz XL, Sapphire and Commander Site Controller.The Back Office Partner Program gives you access to both the Sapphire and Gemcom Partner Development Kit (PDK). These kits allows back office software developers to link their systems to VeriFone’s point-of-sale systems using XML. Functions such as retrieving price and PLU data, period reports, transaction level detail, and configuration of programmable data sets can all be performed by Back Office Partners with VeriFone.

In order to assure a smooth development process and partnership, VeriFone requires your company to have the following skill sets on your staff. Please be prepared to provide us with confirmation of the following qualifications of your lead software developer for your back office solution: Minimum of a 2 year degree in an IT related field with 1-2 years of programming experience in an object-orientated language: Java, C++, VB. OR 4 year degree in an IT field that had an emphasis on software development (no other coding experience required). OR 6 years of software development, no degree required. And familiarity with Microsoft OS, web development (HTML CSS, JavaScript) a plus.

BACK OFFICE PARTNER PROCESSStep 1 - Initiate ProcessTo get started developing your new back office partnership with VeriFone, e-mail the following information to us at i_PetroPartners@verifone.com: complete contact information of person within your organization authorized to sign legal agreements. This information will need to include: full name, title, company name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone and fax numbers. Please provide this same information for the contact person within your organization who will be the point person for the partnership going forward.

VeriFone will then forward, via e-mail, the licensing agreement for the development kit.

NOTE: This License is a legal agreement between VeriFone and your company stating that you are in possession of the VeriFone Back Office PDK software and documentation. Our one-time licensing fee is $6,000.00 regardless of how many customers you support; we do not charge individual royalties on a per-customer basis.

Step 2 - Sign License and ReturnPrint out two copies of the licensing agreement for signature by your authorized representative and forward both copies to VeriFone’s Clearwater office via US Mail or other carrier. VeriFone will then invoice your company for the software licensing fee of $6,000.00 and first-year’s support fee of $1,308.00, plus any applicable state sales tax.

Step 3 - Initiate IntegrationUpon receipt of your signed agreement and payment, VeriFone will send your company both Partner Development Kit’s (PDK’s). These kits contain:

Within one week of receiving the PDK’s, you will also receive your log in information for the VeriFone Partner Portal which allows exclusive access to software updates, product changes, and other important partner specific information.
