Background

The Hemochron Configuration Manager (HCM) software program allows the customer to configure their Hemochron

Signature Elite instruments to assist in meeting the most common needs of their facility’s indiidual compliance program! The

configuration is performed on a personal computer with installed HCM software! The general configuration options aaila"le

The &'' eature

%ne feature aaila"le in the Configuration Manager is the &'' limit! This setting is utili#ed along with the Electronic

uality Control (EC) and *i+uid uality Control (*C) lockouts! ,f &'' limits are ena"led- the user wi l "e offered

the choice to run a patient test if the *C interal has "een e.ceeded! The allowa"le num"er of tests that can "e

 performed is selected within Configuration Manager (from / to 01/)! The instrument displays the num"er of remaining

tests that can "e run (the &'' oerride) "efore C must "e performed!

Setting the &'' feature would also allow for patient testing to "e performed in the eent that an EC or *C test has failed! ,n

the eent the facility does not want the a"ility to run patient testing when either the C interal has elapsed or a C has failed-
