School Directory

A school directory can be sent by email on request. It will not be on the school website. Parents can inform the office if they do not wish their contact details to be included in the school directory.!

School Calendar Some parents have been asking about the school’s priorities in allocating public holidaysA draft calendar for each year is sent home to all families, usually in term 3 of the previous year. If you wish to make suggested changes or request that we honour certain public holidays, please make the suggestions at that time. Once the new year starts it is very difficult for us to change the calendar, as so many people would be affected. ခက္ခဲသြားပါသျဖင့္ စာသင္ႏွစ္မစမီ မိဘမ်ားထံမွ အႀကံျပဳခ်က္ကုိေပးပုိ႔ရန္ အေရးႀကီးပါသည္။အၿခားသတိျပဳရန္မွာ စာသင္ႏွစ္တစ္ႏွစ္လွ်င္ ရက္ေပါင္း ၁၈၀ တိတိ ျပည့္မီေအာင္ သင္ၾကားရမည္ျဖစ္ရာ အမ်ားျပည္သူ ႐ုံးပိတ္ရက္မ်ား အလြန္မ်ားၿပားပါကစာသင္ႏွစ္ကုန္ဆုံးခ်ိန္တြင္

FUNDRAISING DAY!All primary and secondary students will soon be planning for activities for Fundraising Day. Not only is this a day of fun, but students learn something about running a business to make a profit. We would like to remind parents that these activities must be student-run, especially in the upper-primary and secondary. Parents are encouraged to help with ideas and logistical support if necessary, but the students must retain responsibility. Parents are invited to join us on that day.!!Primary ႏွင့္ Secondary ေက်ာင္းသူေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားသည္ မၾကာမီေရာက္ရိွလာေတာ့မည့္ Fundraising Day အတြက္

ျပင္ဆင္ေနၾကၿပီျဖစ္ပါသည္။ အဆုိပါ Fundraising Day သည္ ေပ်ာ္ရႊင္စရာေန႔ရက္သက္သက္မဟုတ္ဘဲ ေက်ာင္းသားေက်ာင္းသူမ်ားအတြက္ စီးပြားေရးလုပ္ငန္းတစ္ခုတြင္ အက်ိဳးအျမတ္ရရိွေစရန္ စြမ္းေဆာင္ႏုိင္ေစေသာ

အေတြ႕အႀကံဳကုိသင္ၾကားေပးျခင္းလည္း ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ မိဘမ်ားအေနျဖင့္ သတိျပဳေစလုိသည္မွာ အဆုိပါေန႔၏ Activity မ်ားသည္ အထူးသျဖင့္ Upper-primary ႏွင့္ Secondary ေက်ာင္းသားေက်ာင္းသူမ်ားကုိယ္တုိင္

လုပ္ေဆာင္ရမည္ျဖစ္သည္။ မိဘမ်ားမွ အႀကံဉာဏ္စိတ္ကူးမ်ားႏွင့္ အျခားပစၥည္းမ်ား သယ္ပုိ႔ျခင္းတုိ႔ကုိ လုိအပ္ပါက ကူညီလုပ္ေဆာင္ေပးႏုိင္ေသာ္လည္း ေက်ာင္းသားေက်ာင္းသူမ်ား ကုိယ္တုိင္

အဓိကတာ၀န္ယူလုပ္ကုိင္ႏုိင္ရမည္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ !Most of the books that were published using money from last year's Fundraising Day have now been distributed to schools. Some of our books (written and illustrated by Network teachers and students) are now being read by students in schools in Taungoo, some are in the delta region,some are in schools close to Yangon. Year 5 students took some copies to the school in Nyaung village near Hmaw Bi when they went there for a field trip last week.!!

ၿပီးခဲ့သည့္ Fundraising Day မွရရိွေသာ၀င္ေငြမ်ားျဖင့္ ျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့ေသာစာအုပ္မ်ားကုိယခုအခါ အစုိးရစာသင္ ေက်ာင္းမ်ားသုိ႔ ျဖန္႔ေ၀လွဴဒါန္းေနၿပီျဖစ္ပါသည္။ အခ်ိ ႕ဳစာအုပ္မ်ား (ဆရာမ်ားႏွင့္ ေက်ာင္းသားေက်ာင္းသူမ်ားမွ ေရးသားခဲ့ေသာစာအုပ္မ်ား)သည္ ယခုအခါ ေတာင္ငူၿမိ ႕ဳ၊ ဧရာ၀တီျမစ္၀ကၽြန္းေပၚေဒသမ်ားႏွင့္ ရန္ကုန္ၿမိ ႕ဳ အစြန္အဖ်ားဘက္ရိွစာသင္ေက်ာင္းမ်ားသုိ႔ ေပးပုိ႔လွဴဒါန္းထားၿပီးျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ၿပီးခဲ့သည့္အပါတ္ Year 5

ေက်ာင္းသားေက်ာင္းသူမ်ား၏ Field Trip တြင္ အဆုိပါ စာအုပ္မ်ားကုိ ေမွာ္ဘီၿမိ ႕ဳနယ္၊ ေညာင္ေက်းရြာရိွ အစုိးရမူလတန္း စာသင္ေက်ာင္းတြင္လည္း ေပးပုိ႔လွဴဒါန္းႏုိင္ခဲ့ပါသည္။ !

There are still some copies available for donation. If Network families know of schools which would appreciate copies of these books, please inform Teacher Kyaw Lin Thu at Bahan campus.!!

Peacocks have had a great start to term two. Over the past three weeks we have been planting lots of seeds and looking after them. We have been observing them daily and can’t wait to see if some of them will grow into large plants. This week we have been discussing the source of our food, as part of this we helped each other to make gingerbread men. We carefully weighed out the ingredients, mixed them together and rolled and cut them out. The best part was eating them at the end. "It was fun playing with the dough," Yang Cheng exclaimed. !

This term, Year 2 classes have been finding out about our local community . We enjoyed visits from parents who came to talk to us about the work they do.!

Year 2 Sunflowers class had a visit from U Khin Maung Yu who is a Chief Engineer. We learned about his job and found out some interesting facts. !

Did you know? A container vessel can carry 4,500 containers and is 260 metres long!!

On Monday, Years 1 and 2 had a visit from Teacher Philippa. She is a Teacher in the UK and has visited Network regularly in recent years. She told the children about her school and showed a short video of her class singing a Harvest song. The children talked about the similarities and differences between the two schools. Years 1 and 2 recorded a short singing video for her to show her class. We look forward to continuing links between the two schools.

“On Thursday, we acted in wonderful assembly. We performed a science skit about "States of matter." We sang a song called ‘We are one’ which

was my favourite song” !
