Bakusasa Trust, a non-profit organisation under Awesome SA (NPO Registration No: 059-801-NPO) was founded on 18 July 2013. Bakusasa Trust us a “Grass Roots” initiative and “First Touch” program that introduces golf to disadvantaged children from deprived areas, with the purpose of using the sport of golf as tool to provide children with the opportunity, information and knowledge to build character, learn core values, to become physically, emotionally and socially developed citizens of South Africa.

The Bakusasa Trust “Sport for Social Development” age-appropriate program is a unique and innovative combination of Long Term Athlete Development, Emotional Intelligence, Life Skills, Fundamental Movement Skills, Fundamental Sports Skills and a solid set of Core Values. The progressive program allows children to develop at their own pace, ability and enthusiasm. Furthermore, it is based on the developmental age of children, rather than their chronological age.

Our 7 Level instructional and mentorship program includes essential modules that ensure children have access and exposure to all the important elements to become role models for future generations, while alleviating social and socio-economic issues.

We are currently undergoing a corporate development process which will see Bakusasa Trust align with partners who are looking to enjoy numerous benefits while assisting us in our quest. Benefits include but are not limited to;

Official Sponsorship Opportunities

• Bakusasa Trust is looking for 2 sponsored 4x4 type vehicles and trailers to transport equipment and coaches to project sessions.

Official Vehicle and Trailer Sponsor

• The children in the Bakusasa Trust Program are given a golf shirt and cap for each level they progress to from Level 1 through Level 2 and Level 3 to Academy Level and finally Elite Level. The coaches and team members of Bakusasa Trust also require uniforms consisting of golf shirts, caps and shorts.

• The Trust has a number of documents, portfolios, flyers, children’s booklets and presentation folders that need to be printed and disseminated. The printing requirements of the Trust are all based on creating awareness for the Trust and ensuring its administration is managed in a professional manner.

• Exposure and marketing opportunities are vital for the self sustainability of Bakusasa Trust. An extensive and aggressive marketing plan will ensure the Trust meets all of its objectives and can implement its expansion program. Marketing and networking events, functions and global exposure will create awareness of the Bakusasa Trust brand and its operations.
