Flare and Landfill Gas Balancing

The hours the flare ran during Q2 2015 are shown in Fig 1 and the methane % flared is

shown in Fig 2.

In general the flare has been maintaining a temperature over 1000°C, and is running well. It

ran continuously for 24hours a day except for two occasions during the quarter when it was

down for a short amount of hours. These occasions are detailed below:

• 15-04-15 at 10:30 until 15-04-15 at 14:45. The flare was turned off to carry out the

scheduled preventative maintenance service.

• 02-06-15 at 10:30 until 02-06-15 at 14:00.

The Ballaghveny SCADA PLC was offline from 14-06-15 until 23-06-15 and no data was

recorded during this period. However the flare continued to run and 24hrs performance has

been assumed in the graph shown in Fig 1. The methane % for this period has simply been

omitted from the graph in Fig 2.

Gas balancing was carried out by IBSL. Onsite gas well balancing reports are shown below.
