Raster vs Vector (10) Photoshop is a Raster (Pixel Based) Program
Uses squares of colors known as pixels. Forms a Grid. # of Pixels Per Inch determines the size/resolution. Resolution and size of file is dependent on number of pixels and how large the file is.
Illustrator is a Vector Based Program Uses mathematical points and calculations. Appears to look like a cartoon. Can be stretched to billboard size but the size of the file will never be different and
the quality will always look consistent. Resolution Independent.
