Getting hereBY RAILThere are regular train services direct from London Paddington and Waterloo to Bath, with an average journey time of around 90 minutes. BY CARBath is located just 10 miles from junction 18 of the M4 motorway which runs direct from London and Heathrow. The American Museum in Britain has the fi nest collection of Americana outside the United States. The hilltop site of the museum’s home, Claverton Manor built in 1820, is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and takes full advantage of the spectacular views over the valley of the River Avon. The museum and grounds offer a unique setting for both corporate and private events within the manor or garden where a marquee can be placed on the South Lawn.

The newly extended and award winning Orangery is available for private use as well as the ingeniously refurbished Stables & Coach House opened in 2011. The Stables, with its own audio visual equipment, offers a striking space for lectures, exhibitions or indeed dining and is complimented by the fl exible space available in the adjacent Coach House.

Originally built for entertaining, the stunning Georgian Assembly Rooms offer a unique corporate hospitality experience. With nine Whitefriars crystal chandeliers and portraits by Gainsborough, Ramsey and Hoare, the venue makes a prestigious setting for any event. The Assembly Rooms is also home to the Fashion Museum, one of the world’s fi nest collections of fashionable dress.

The interlinking rooms at the Assembly Rooms provide versatile space for conferences, gala dinners, AGMs and exhibitions. The Ball Room can accommodate up to 500 conference delegates or 310 people for dinner. The elegant Tea Room is well suited to smaller events, with the Great Octagon and Card Room being ideal for exhibition and catering space. At the centre of a World Heritage Site, the Roman Baths and Pump Room is one of the most delightful historic buildings in the country. Dating back nearly 2000 years, the Roman Baths offer a unique atmosphere for a drinks reception. Up to 300 guests may mingle beside the torch-lit and steaming waters of the Great Bath. A dinner for up to 200 guests may follow in the elegant Georgian Pump Room or, for a smaller event, guests may dine on the Terrace overlooking the Roman Baths. Two more intimate period rooms with views across to Bath Abbey are also available for hire.

Guildhall & Victoria Art GalleryMap Ref: B4

Guildhall - Situated in the city centre, the Guildhall, with its imposing façade, is a masterpiece of neo-classical decoration. With sumptuous plasterwork, gilding and three glittering crystal chandeliers, the Banqueting Room is one of the most impressive Georgian interiors in Bath. This room can accommodate up to 360 people for a conference or 200 for a dinner. Several smaller rooms are available within the building for break-out sessions, exhibitions or receptions.

Victoria Art Gallery - The city’s art gallery displays a permanent collection of fi ne art, in addition to a varied and imaginative programme of national touring exhibitions. The modern, ground fl oor gallery, together with the permanent gallery above, makes a unique and inspiring venue for a drinks reception.
