What is Poverty?O Poverty is the general lack of basic

needs, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money. It is can be many types of poverty, including social, economic, and political elements. Poverty will eventually go away.

IntroO The objective of the United Nations, as

stated in its Charter, is "to achieve international co-operation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character.“ The Organization is now relied upon by the international community to coordinate relief operations due to disasters in areas beyond the relief capacity of national authorities alone.

IntroO World leaders committed their nations to

achieve Millennium Development Goal by 2015. The goal is to half extreme poverty. To attain it, the Secretary-General has launched an initiative, the ‘Zero Hunger Challenge’. Great progress has been made in reaching the goal, but much more needs to be done.

History of VentureThe ‘Zero Hunger Challenge’ began in 21 June 2012, launched by  UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. It was a global movement to end hunger – end it in our lifetimes, and end it once and for all.
