New BCA Auction View goes live The new BCA Auction View is now live, delivering a faster and more efficient stock locator for buyers. Potential buyers can search through the huge range of vehicles on offer at BCA more efficiently than ever, choosing the right vehicle for their needs from the 13,000 or more typically on offer.

The new BCA Auction View utilises ‘free text’ search capabilities, as used by Google, and draws on best practice and design as demonstrated by such companies as eBay, BBC and House of Fraser. It features a consumer-styled user interface with mileage sliders, date calendars and a dynamic make/model selector, with instant updating of results as customers search.

BCA worked closely with buyers on design and functionality and each

updated version features a feedback button, meaning Auction View is designed with customers, rather than with customers in mind.

The enhancements have made significant strides to streamline and enhance the search function, removing clicks and reducing the time to display results, which now load in under one second – some six times faster – with a typical search process now four times faster than previously.

The new Auction View is just one of a series of digital enhancements that BCA is introducing, with a new appraisal tool currently in development to deliver higher quality images and more concise condition reports.

BCA Dealer Pro allows retailers to be transparent with customers as they capture the condition of the incoming part-exchange car via an iPad, with auto grading to NAMA standard and real-time BCA Market Price valuation data.

BCA Partner Finance BCA’s innovative BCA Partner Finance service helps independent car and van dealers to secure incremental funding, allowing them to expand their retail operations. BCA Partner Finance was the first finance product launched that was specifically designed for the UK remarketing sector.

BCA Partner Finance funds the whole auction purchase, including fees and VAT where applicable, and interest is charged at a competitive flat rate – equivalent on

average to about £2 a day – with cars and vans funded using the scheme.

Notably the service is generating incremental value and volume into the remarketing sector as buyers joining the scheme typically increase their average purchase value by about 20% and purchase up to 40% more vehicles. BCA works closely with customers to ensure they are maximising the benefits of the scheme.
