The W.H.O. Foundation recently granted $4,000 to the Dreamcatchers Foundation, thanks to a letter written by Amy Shoob—who felt the dream-making organization embodied the essence of Beauticontrol’s core values.

Read Amy’s heartfelt letter below:

“I was introduced to Dreamcatchers almost two years ago when my mother was a terminally ill hospice patient. Her birthday was fast approaching, and her nurse wanted to nominate my mom for a dream birthday party. Mom felt special, surrounded by young people asking about her wishes. As her birthday approached she felt like giving up but survived to be at her party, at her favorite restaurant, surrounded by family and friends. After the party, my son, her only grandchild, sat and talked to his Yaya for hours. She passed away five days later. Dreamcatchers gave us the gift of two extra weeks with my mom.

Dreamcatchers not only grants hospice patients their final wishes, but also helps families create happy memories with their loved ones. This has inspired my work as a volunteer fundraiser.

In November 2014, with Christmas approaching, many dream requests came in. Two local Beauticontrol teams joined forces to create a holiday fundraiser to help care for families whose loved ones might not make it through the holidays. Many were helped.

My heartfelt thanks to the W.H.O. Foundation for their support of this worthy organization.”
