Piñata Books is dedicated to the realistic and authentic portrayal of the themes, languages, characters, and customs of Hispanic culture in the United States. Reflections, started in 1969 by the Colorado PTA President, Mary Lou Anderson, has encouraged millions%of students to express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Students in preschool through grade 12%may create and submit works of art in six categories:%dance#choreography, film production,#literature,#musical composition, photography, and visual arts.%!

The theme for the 2014?15 PTA Reflections program is:!“The World Would be a Better Place if…”!

Only new pieces of artwork inspired by the theme may be submitted.

This year, BBE will be collecting entries from Monday, 15 Sept. to Friday, 17 Oct. THESE ARE FIRM DEADLINES. Starting Monday, 15 Sept., entry forms will be by the bulletin board outside the front office and a collection box will be in the front office.

Grade Divisions: Students may enter the Reflections program in the appropriate division for their grade:

Primary: Preschool – Grade 2

Intermediate: Grades 3-5%

Students may enter the Reflections program in one or more arts categories with no limit to the amount of entries in a single category.
