Note from the EditorHello Beaverton,

Fall in our city is a great time of year. There’s Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner. And although the holidays are fun, my favorite part of Fall is the wonder-fully beautiful autumn colors that grace our trees in many parts of the city. Case in point, check out the cover of this month’s issue to see perhaps the most spectacular location to view the changing colors. Teal Blvd is located in Murrayhill near Safeway and to drive this street during this time of year can be like, well, driving into an oil painting! Many thanks to Artist Lana Nelson for capturing this scene (see cover story on page 10).

Fall also means shopping! And is there a bet-ter place in Beaverton to find your gifts than Cedar Hills Crossing? I don’t think so and that’s why we are very proud to have our home grown mall as part of our monthly guide (see page 4).

Keep warm Beaverton,

Cory Burden Owner of Cedar House Media (and long time Beaverton resident)

A Soul Generated by Love

To quote the great Dr. Mar-tin Luther King, Jr. in his

1964 speech at Oberlin Col-lege: “Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a col-lege degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve.... You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Listed in this directory are Non-profits that are located in Beaverton and surround-ing areas. Fortunately for us, we have a wide range of non-

profits in the area ranging from Family Services to Animal Care. Please take the time to review these non-profit com-panies to discover an area in which you may be interested in helping. Go to their website and view the volunteer oppor-tunities. It really is as simple as sending an email or picking up the phone and asking “How can I help?”.

If you have “a heart full of grace” and “a soul generated by love” there is no better time than now to find your voice. Become part of the solution and make a difference in ser-vice to your community, now.

You’re right, I didn’t say “CROSS” the road be-cause it’s not meant to be a joke (although I got

a little chuckle out of it). So, the chicken really did run and he ran down 1st Street in downtown Bea-verton from Costume Avenue. There actually were a number of other oddly dressed characters, includ-ing Uncle Sam, following in the same direction one after another throughout the day, and it wasn’t even Halloween!

Could they have been running scared, having learned that the first jailhouse in Beaverton had been located there way back when? Probably not (even though that is true). The characters were re-ally just costumed actors from one of the teams dur-

ing a weekend film-making competition, hoping to make the winning movie and they chose the streets of Beaverton for their filming location. Costume Avenue, of course, made the perfect place for their costume changes between shots.

Well, the running chicken is now back and standing just inside the door to greet customers. Maybe if he’s lucky, the next person to rent him will help him finally cross that darn road!

The Good Neighbor CenterMore than just a place for families to sleep and eat

by Parisjat Umscheid

With The Good Neighbor Center, located in Tigard,

is a place where families can find some hope of breaking the cycle of being homeless. “Where will the kids sleep tonight?” “What are we going to eat?” These are questions that many families in the Portland area ask themselves very night.

When families arrive they are asked to do an assessment of where they are and what are the barriers for long-term stability. A case manager works with each family to create a work plan to

help them get on track to becom-ing self-sufficient.

Families stay at the shelter for 6 weeks and they are as-signed household chores and must attend mandatory meet-ings on Life Skills and Rent Well classes. Children must attend school and a Student Advocate runs a program in the afternoon called “Homework Club”. For some families who obtain a sta-ble income and can meet certain requirements, the Housing Sta-bilization Program through the Good Neighbor Center offers permanent housing locally . This program provides family advo-cacy and support services to help families become self-sufficient.

The GNC is a 36 bed facility serving up to 9 families at a time.

Each family has their own room. Families are provided 3 meals a day. The center has no food budget and each evening donors provide the dinner.

If you have items you would like to donate to the Good Neighbor Center, please visit the website and look in the Current Needs section. If you are inter-ested in volunteering as a Meal Host or other opportunities, please visit the website under Volunteer Opportunities.

Cedar Hills Crossing has been a part of the Beaverton commu-

nity over the past forty years. Cover-ing 36 acres, Cedar Hills Crossing is located in the heart of Beaverton.

In recent years, Cedar Hills Crossing has gone through a lot of changes. You’ll find we’ve not only redeveloped the property (receiv-ing a major facelift), we’ve also changed our name and added mul-tiple new merchants to the property including Powell’s Book, New Sea-sons Market, and our latest addition, Sports Authority. We are also excit-ed to announce our newest addition,

Veggie Grill, who will be joining the property in the near future. Veggie Grill will feature comfort food like burgers, fries and classic sandwich-es made with 100% plant-based in-gredients.

We hope you are able to stop by and visit. With over sixty shops and restaurants (including two grocery stores, a movie theatre, even a bowl-ing alley!) we have a wide selection of shopping, dining and activities for you to enjoy. Inside the mall you’ll also find free WiFi, a food court, and a children’s play area to enjoy. We hope to see you soon.

Cedar Hills Crossing was origi-nally the site of Bernard’s

Airport and before that, it was a motion picture studio in the 1920s. Air Space Magazine, which is af-filiated with the Smithsonian, states that the real history of grass-roots aviation in Oregon began in “the hayfields of Beaverton” (i.e. Bernard’s Airport), where aircraft innovation design achieved a wide circle of inventors and pilots. The home-built airplane industry in Beaverton thrived and Bernard

Airport was once known as the oldest continuously-operated air-port in Oregon. On September 11, 1938, the Oregonian reported that Bernard Airport was “perhaps the busiest non-commercial airport in the United States.” In the case of Bernard’s Airport there exists the added distinction that most of the planes are amateur built.”

The airfield was converted into the Beaverton Mall shopping cent-er in 1969.

Every week nearly 200 fam-ilies receive food from the

Tualatin Valley Gleaners. But these families are able to ar-rive at the Beaverton Resource Center each Saturday with-out shame or embarrassment. Instead, all member families work/volunteer in field and ur-ban gleaning in exchange for desperately needed assistance that they can receive with dig-nity. The Gleaners strive to not just fill bellies, but to do so with high-quality, nutritious food.

During the holidays, Tual-atin Valley Gleaners provide

boxes of traditional holiday food and toys to 500 fami-lies (around 1,000 children) in Washington County. They will be operating the “Baskets of Joy” holiday program again this year and are in need of the communities continued sup-port. There has been a steady increase of families in need over the past two years, and TVG expects to see member-ship rise to over 750 families this Christmas. This year, TVG lost 15,000 pounds of donated food that they usually receive from the Portland Police Sun-

I always look forward to the Harvest Market. I have a long

shopping list on that day. I’ll be thinking about food gifts and stocking stuffers for the holi-days. There is my freezer and pantry to consider – what can I stock pile to get me through the winter? Then of course, there is Thanksgiving dinner - I espe-cially appreciate serving locally

grown and produced foods to my family and friends for that very important meal.

As I reflect on the things for which I will giving thanks, high on my list will be the labors of all of the hard working vendors at the market – our farmers, ranchers, artisan food producers and nursery growers. Of course, next on the list will be all of our

shine Division due to diminish-ing donations in the past two years. This means a loss of 500 food boxes to Washington Co. families. “Baskets of Joy” aims to make up that difference.

Heather Thompson, founder and director of Tualatin Val-ley Gleaners, wishes to give hope and show the support of a strong and caring community to the families in need. For these families, things like food and personal hygiene products are often sacrificed so that the rent will get paid. This year, TVG is placing special emphasis on collecting personal hygiene products. The “Baskets of Joy” program will provide each fam-ily with a holiday meal, two gifts per child under the age of 18, and housekeeping and per-sonal hygiene products.

Please support our cam-paign by coming to the Bea-verton Farmers “Harvest” Mar-ket on Nov. 19th. The goal is to provide for 2,000 people. Barrels for donations will be throughout the Market on the 19th, and afterwards, there will

devoted customers – thank you for supporting the market and our agricultural and culinary community.

The Harvest Market is a cel-ebration. We have so much to be thankful for and I’m happy to be celebrating with you.

See you at the Harvest Market,

On October 1st, we co-sponsored the Health and Well-ness Resource Fair at our very own Elsie Stuhr Senior Center. There were 28 vendors giving away great raffle prizes, Lions Club Health Screenings (testing for blood pressure, vision, hear-ing, glaucoma, diabetes, adrenal fatigue assessment, balance and flexibility), Spinal Screenings, Flu Shots, and yummy snacks (Yogurt/Fruit Parfaits and Cof-fee). There were also 3 lectures on “Driving and Dementia”, “How Stereotypes Influence How we Treat Elders, Affect Our Own Behaviors, and Actually Affect Health”, and “Exercise with Medical Conditions”.

Although the Center is under construction, the Fair was well attended and bustling with activ-ity. We are also in the process of planning our next Free Informa-tional Forum coming soon.

Alex Paul and Laura Ross-Paul, the owners of Beaverton Lodge Retirement, have deep roots

in supporting the arts. Laura, a noted Northwest painter, and Paul have spent many years collecting art for the Lodge. The Lodge’s GOLDEN GAL-LERY is an original art collection that reflects the work of our best regional artists, from the first gen-eration of modernists to the present work of North-west influenced painters.

Paul and Laura recognized the lack of available exhibition space for the 65 and over artist. With their senior community and available wall space for displaying art, housing the gallery at the Lodge made perfect sense. The Gallery is still growing as they continue to add artwork from the senior com-munity.

Their current exhibition is from a noted north-west artist, Nancy Gillespie. Her show, “Art In The Garden: The Costumed Figure” runs until October

30th. Starting Sunday, November 13th from 2-5, there will be an opening reception for their new ex-hibit “Women Artists Group Show” by Radix.

The Golden Gallery is open during regular busi-ness hours, 9– 6 daily. As their exhibitions grow, so will their collection. Please stop in and walk the public spaces and halls of the Lodge to see more of their artwork. For more information about the Gallery and current exhibits visit their website www.beavertonlodge.com/goldengallery.

Meet the Artist: Lana Nelson

“Fall Trees Murrayhill”Cover Story

Over the past few years, fall foliage in some areas of Beaverton has come to

rival long famous fall scenery in other parts of the country. There is a particular curved stretch of Teal Boulevard in Murray Hill that seems to shout with joy in color about the arrival of fall on a light rainy day. The first time I observed the color was walking along the red tree corridor with beautiful red leaves like tattoos on the sidewalk. As an oil painter, I pledged that I would paint this scene. It took several layers of glaz-ing over a couple of years to finally achieve the intensity of color of my mind’s eye that wasn’t captured in the original photo from which I worked. A late part of the evolu-tion of this work was a critique by Water Works Critique Group (all local artists) of which I am a member. I showed this paint-ing in its final finished form at the Old Town Beaverton Festival in July this summer and enjoyed the public’s response to it.

by Elaine Orcutt

standing artists, including four, $200 first place awards, and a $500, “Best of Show” prize.

This year, The Beaverton Arts Com-mission has added additional events throughout the run of Showcase to in-crease the opportunities to experience art. Performing arts will be showcased with Music in Small Spaces presenting The Oregon Guitar Quartet on Sun-day, November 6, and Flute, Viola and Harp Trio on Sunday, November 13, at 2:30 p.m. These performances will take place in the library auditorium. Tick-ets are $18 in advance, or $20 at the door. More information can be found at musicinsmallspaces.org or by calling 503.644.0712.

The Westside Cultural Alliance is presenting a Media Workshop for Art-ists and Performers entitled “How to Promote Your Arts Events in 2012.” Workshop will take place Saturday, No-vember 5, 2011, from 10:30 to 1pm in the Beaverton City Library Auditorium. Cost is $25 for individuals (includes one-year Friends’ privileges); $50 for organizations (admits 4.). The purpose of the workshop is to help Washington

County artists, performers and arts or-ganizations build awareness for the arts by correctly identifying newsworthy ac-tivities that media will receive enthusi-astically. For more information, please visit westsideculturalalliance.org.

Following the Visual Arts Show-case is the Beaverton Library’s 9th An-nual Teen Art Show. Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to submit up to three works of art each. Artworks will be ac-cepted in the Teen Room November 14-16 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. The show will be open to the public No-vember 17 - 23 during normal library hours. An opening reception with re-freshments will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 17.

More information can be found at http://www.beavertonlibrary.org/teens or call 503.350.4001.

ACMA Theatre Company Performs “Godspell”A Benefit to Homeless Youth Nov 3 through Nov 12, 2011

The Beaverton Historical Society continues to present programming

that helps visitors appreciate and under-stand our community’s heritage.Nov. 8, 7pm: History of the Beaverton Police Dept.Did Beaverton police carry Billy Clubs? How have law enforcement training and staffing changed over the years? A representative of the Beaverton Police Department will answer these questions and share a “Then and Now” perspec-tive of local policing procedures.North American Beaver DisplayA new display showcases a stuffed North American beaver in its natural setting, gnawing on a tree limb. This aquatic rodent, Castor Canadensis, was the backbone of the Pacific Northwest fur trade for many years. Their pres-ence in the Tualatin Valley created bea-verdam land: soil exceptionally fertile and particularly suitable for agriculture. After the demise of the fur trade in the

1830s, trappers, followed by Oregon Trail emigrants, settled in the region. Their farms and sawmills laid the foun-dation for development of Washington County and gave our city its name.Old Fashioned Christmas TreePlans are underway for the holidays. A traditionally decorated tree of the Vic-torian era will shine in the front win-dow and a dining table will be set in the customary manner of family dinner. Watch for the next issue of the Direc-tory to stay up to date on history pres-entations and exhibits.

The Arts & Communications Magnet Academy Theatre Com-

pany will perform “Godspell,” an off-Broadway hit musical by John Mi-chael Tebelak and Stephen Schwartz that was first performed 40 years ago. Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, and featuring a sparkling score, Godspell boasts a string of well-loved songs, including the internation-al hit “Day by Day.”

Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pan-tomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, ACMA Theatre’s revival of “Godspell” offers a contemporary twist on the story, which is set in an ur-ban atmosphere and features homeless apostles seeking answers to their lives.

Highlighting a central theme in the story and to bring awareness to a sig-nificant local problem, ACMA Theatre Company’s production will benefit homeless youth in the Portland metro area, donating a portion of proceeds to Outside In’s Guerilla Theatre. Out-side In helps homeless youth and other marginalized people move towards improved health and self-sufficiency. Guerilla Theatre is a creative peer edu-cation program that is part of CHAT pdx, a coalition working to curb HIV and AIDS transmission among young people.

ACMA Theatre Company’s perfor-mance offers great family entertain-ment with an underlying message of kindess, tolerance, and love. Please join us.

Beaverton Police DepartmentBeaverton Youth Peer CourtThe Beaverton Youth Peer

Court is a program whereby youths who have committed cer-tain first time misdemeanors or vi-olations are judged through a court system of their peers. The attor-neys, clerks, bailiffs and jurors are volunteers from ages 12-17. The defendants have admitted guilt and are standing trial to be sentenced by their peers.

Crimes that come before the Court include typical youthful vio-lations such as minor in possession of alcohol or marijuana, theft, van-dalism, criminal trespass and cur-few. Defendants have been cited by Beaverton police officers.

The Beaverton Youth Peer Court encompasses most of the facets of any trial court. After training sessions, attorneys are expected to research the law and present each case at trial. Juries will reach a verdict and sentenc-es may include writing an essay, working a certain number of com-munity service hours, apologizing

to an involved party and possibly paying restitution. Regardless of the sentence, each defendant is required to serve as a Youth Peer Court juror and to participate in a workshop taught by a police offic-er. If all elements of the construc-tive sentence are completed, the defendant’s record is expunged. But if the defendant does not com-plete the sentence, or is arrested again, they will automatically get referred to the Washington County Juvenile Department.

The Court meets on Mondays at Beaverton City Hall. A typical Court session will include 3 cases. The Judge’s chair rotates among adult lawyers who volunteer for the Court, but the remainder of the Court officers and jurors are students. Many of those who vol-unteer as attorneys go on to col-lege and a career in the law or law enforcement. Many also find that the Court gives them confidence in their public speaking skills.

Jurors frequently decide on a

harsher sen-tence than might be meted out by the Juvenile D epa r t -m e n t . The Ju-venile De-partment is very over-worked and often will send out letters to defendants. Peer Court endeavors to make youths accountable for their actions and remind them to think in the future when making decisions.

Heating equipment is a lead-ing cause of home fires and

deaths each year. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue wants you to pro-tect your family by following the simple safety tips below.

Fireplaces and Wood Stoves• Have your fireplace or wood

stove inspected and cleaned by a professional. Creosote is a shiny, highly flamma-ble material that coats your chimney flue. It only takes a spark to ignite it and cause a chimney fire.

• Use a tight-fitting fireplace screen.

• Keep combustible items at least 3 ft. away from fire-places and woodstoves.

• Burn only dry, seasoned wood to prevent creosote build-up.

• Keep your fire small in size and never leave it unattend-ed

• After using your fireplace or woodstove, allow ashes to cool completely by waiting 2-3 days before removing. If you can’t wait, dispose of the ashes in a metal can out-side your home

Space and Wall Heaters • Space heaters need space.

Keep items that can burn at least three feet from wall and space heaters.

• Use only Underwriters Laboratories (UL)-approved portable heaters with a tip-over switch.

Furnaces• Inspect and clean your fur-

nace prior to each heating season or have a profession-al provide this service.

• Clean and/or replace your filter.

• Keep combustible items away from the pilot light of a gas furnace.

Heat It Up...Don’t Burn It DownCold Weather Advice from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescueby Karen Eubanks

Protect yourself in case of fire with working smoke alarms on each level of your home and outside every sleeping area, and test them monthly. Replace older smoke alarms with long-life bat-tery alarms which offer up to 10 years of protection without a bat-tery change. For further peace of mind, consider installing a car-bon monoxide detector.

Fall Off the Beaten Path A Hands-on Approach to Glass Blowingby Allison George

It’s the perfect time of year to experience the rich colors and

autumn harvest of Washington County, and there’s no better way to take it all in than the Vineyard and Valley Scenic Tour Route.

The Vineyard and Valley Sce-nic Tour Route is a 50-mile drive through the lush Tualatin Valley, which runs between the city of Sherwood at the southern part of the valley and the Swiss-settled Helvetia at the northern end.

The rural driving route show-cases much of Washington Coun-ty’s agricultural bounty, includ-ing wineries, farms (some with stands offering seasonal fresh produce and/or u-pick), historic sites, wildlife refuges and sce-nic viewpoints of the Cascade Mountains, including the iconic, snow-capped Mt. Hood.

The Vineyard and Valley Scenic Tour Route is part of the Oregon Scenic Byways and Tour Routes program. (Note: Because

Is it Art? Is it Science? Per-haps it’s both? Whatever it

is, Live Laugh Love Glass is pretty cool.

There’s a new kid in town in Oregon’s Washington County, and this one will have you glowing with glee. Live Laugh Love Glass is a new glass-blowing studio, which opened last May in downtown Tigard. But this is no ordinary studio; it’s a large space allow-ing for individuals or groups to watch or participating in the scientific experiment of creat-ing personalized creations and works of art from glass.

Under the guidance of a teacher, pieces of ice-cube glass and colored metals com-bine (that’s the science part) and become vivid, colorful creations of art.

This innovative studio of-fers more than classes. Curi-ous onlookers can view the

portions include narrow county roads, low bridge overpasses and winding roads, the full route is not recommended for tour buses or bicyclists.)

Best to be enjoyed during a full day of discoveries and ex-periences along the way – from

classes in action (trust me, it’s very fascinating to watch), purchase a finished work of art–most pieces made in the studio–or attend a dinner party and “hot shop” show, a one-of-a-kind, dinner-theater type experience where guests can participate in the creation of a glass art piece.

In the short time Live Laugh Love Glass has been open, travelers from through-out the globe have visited the shop, according to owners Brett and Natalie Vinsant. Vis-itors can take home a piece of their experience, whether it’s their own creation or an orna-ment previously hand-crafted in the studio.

Although it is difficult to put into words (you have to see it to believe it), it truly is an amazing experience, and the memories will be cher-ished for years to come.

the wineries to such attractions as the scenic Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge – the route offers hospitality at histor-ic country taverns and old-time general stores and easy access to Sherwood, Forest Grove, Gas-ton and other towns for lodging, shopping and dining.

The Route is signed in both directions, and the two starting points are:• East or West on State High-

way 26: Take Exit 61 – at Helvetia Road. Follow the Vineyard & Valley Scenic Tour Route signs!

• East or West on Hwy. 99W or Pacific Highway: Turn North on Roy Rogers Road. Follow the Vineyard & Val-ley Scenic Tour Route signs!

After recently attending an American Red Cross semi-

nar on earthquake preparedness, I was made aware of the significant need of funding for the Red Cross. They receive no federal, state or local funding, rather they run their budget on donations and sales of disaster preparedness kits.

My office made the decision to support Red Cross by purchasing individual disaster starter kits to be given away daily at the recent Street of Dreams. Additionally,

we made the offer to donate $10 to the local chapter of the Red Cross for every new quote our office provided during the show. The response was tremendous! People truly do care.

We were so encouraged and excited by the response, we are going to continue the $10 dona-tion to anyone who calls or stops by our office and gets a quote for their insurance (sorry, limited to non-State Farm clients only).

Help us help the Red Cross!

THPRD: connecting people, parks and natureYoung riders get the dirt on a new course at Eichlerby Bob Wayt, THPRD

Beaverton’s Eichler Park, at 13710 SW Farmington Road, boasts a newly renovated dirt bicycle

course – the only one of its kind currently in service in the Portland metro area.

The new course incorporates three dirt jump lines for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders, along with a small bicycle pump track. It was speci cally designed for both 20-inch (kids/BMX) and 26-inch (MTB) wheeled bikes.

The Northwest Trail Alliance designed and built the course as part of a partnership with the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, which

owns and maintains Eichler Park. The two organizations wanted a better course that could be used by novices as well as highly skilled bikers.NWTA volunteers completely redesigned the Park District’s original BMX course at Eichler and built the new facility during several weekends this past summer.“This renovated venue is a great opportunity for kids and adults alike to develop their bike handling skills in a safe

and controlled environment,” said Raul Atencio of NWTA.

NWTA will be responsible for maintaining it. THPRD will continue to maintain the rest of Eichler Park and provide security through its Park Patrol unit.

“This partnership provides something we don’t have anywhere else in the district,” said Jon Campbell, THPRD project management and support coordinator. “And this way, we know it will be cared for properly and maintained in a safe environment.”

A grand opening to celebrate the new course was held Sept. 24 at Eichler Park. An estimated 150 people showed up, including dozens of riders ranging in age from preschoolers to young adults. They owed through the course’s series of whoops and berms, testing their skills. The most experienced riders jumped high into the air on their bikes, and one of them even did back ips successfully. All participants agreed the new course is fun for everyone.

NWTA is an alliance of mountain bikers and off-road cyclists dedicated to creating, enhancing and protecting

riding opportunities in northwest Oregon and southwest Washington. For more information, visit www.nwta.org.

Young Max Suf n was among dozens of riders who happily tested the new course during last month’s grand opening.

Other major features of Eichler Park are play equipment, a basketball court, community garden, and ADA-accessible walking path.Mike Hogan is not only an accomplished rider, he was primary

designer of the the new dirt bicycle course at THPRD’s Eichler Park.

Introducing the New Aloha Business Association60 members and growing!

In response to the Aloha /Reedville Viability Study

by Washington County, CPO6 Chair Eric Squires joined with Becky Jarvis to initiate the re-birth of the Aloha Business As-sociation. Each monthly meet-ing features a guest speaker on a topic relevant to business owners, committee reports, a featured member “spotlight”, and lots of time for networking. Much has been accomplished with a volunteer Board from the first meeting in February. A “protem” Board of Directors of Karen Bolin, Becky Jarvis and Tim Tank were elected by the audience present at the March meeting to organize the associ-ation and so far, the following have been accomplished:• Bylaws have been drafted

and approved;• membership dues scale

created ;

• and four committees es-tablished to do the work of building the newly formed organization.

Carol Cartier has been a great leader in our efforts to build a brand identity as the chair of the marketing com-mittee. The first task was the creation of a clear mission and vision along with our associa-tion logo. Carol partnered with Aloha High School by inviting students to work on the project. Eric Hearn has led our Community Partner-ships Committee where we have focused on relation-ships with area churches and Aloha High School students and staff. Sonja Lindley is our Membership Chair. Early on we set a goal of 60 paid members and have achieved this. Karen Bolin is the cur-rent President who presides at

the monthly lunch meetings and organizes the guest speak-ers for each meeting. Karen is currently working with a newly established Centennial Celebration committee who will be organizing a commu-nity celebration on January 8, 2012 at Mt. View Middle School. Details will be an-nounced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned because here at the ABA business means something different! Go War-riors!
