Collection for the Pope’s Pastoral Works
This collection provides an opportunity for Catholicsto make a financial offering to assist the Pope inmaking charitable donations in times of disaster. When considering in making a donation to thiscollection please reflect on these words from PopeFrancis, in his encyclical the Joy of the Gospel: “Eachindividual Christian and every community is called tobe an instrument of God for the liberation andpromotion of the poor, and for enabling them to befully a part of society. This demands that we be docileand attentive to the cry of the poor and to come totheir aid. The old question always returns: ‘How canGod’s love abide in anyone who has the world’sgoods, and sees a brother or sister in need and yetrefuses to help? (1 John 3.17)’.”
Do you like to have fun and want to be part of an exciting group of people? Then the Social Committee is for you! This happy group of people create opportunities for parishioners to feel at home and welcome in our parish church. For more information, contact the parish office.
