WORLD DAY OF PEACE The World Day of Peace was established by Pope Paul V1 in 1968 who asked that “every year, this commemoration be repeated as a hope and as a promise, at the beginning of the calendar which measures and outlines the path of human life in time, that Peace with its just and beneficent equilibrium may dominate the development of events to come.

IF I REALLY WANTED TO GROW CLOSER TO GOD I WOULD...

Truly worship Him. The life of a man consists in beholding God. --St. Irenaeus

True worship isn’t about religious rituals, but rather the pure and genuine expression of praise from a willing and eager heart. Children have much to teach us in this regard. They come to us without agendas, without pretension, without motives. They come with true hearts. It is close to impossible to walk away untouched by these unfettered affirmations, and God finds our true worship equally as compelling. Choose any method you like to worship God: singing, reading Scripture, praying aloud, or by simple and silent reverence—there are a limitless number of ways. No matter how you choose to go about it, remember to do so with the heart of a child.

Worship is to the Christian life what the maispring is to a watch.
