3. Discussed using Township contract Deputies for increased coverage with Township Supervisor Greg Stewart

AFTER SANDY HOOK

1. Met with Supervisor Stewart and Sheriff-elect Malone re: assigning Bedford Township contract Deputies to increase a police presence in all schools

• All daytime deputies on duty will patrol / visit all buildings each day

2. Lock down all exterior school doors and place a “greeter” at main entrance

3. Principals to review Safety Plans will all staff and continue drills

4. Install AIPHONE system to control entry to building.

• Camera, Monitor system with two-way intercom

• Electric latch front doors

• Expandable to allow for “pass-card” entry

• Currently being installed and tested at MRE

5. Review Safety Response Options and develop “Train the Trainer” strategy

• A.L.I.C.E. Training Instructor Course: Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate

6. Consider renewal of Sinking Fund to provide for safety improvements to buildings

• Upgrade main doorways

• Install glass partitions to “deny” open access to buildings and to “guide” visitors to main office
