Bell HP helmets have been developed to meet or exceed the FIA8860 Advanced Helmet Standard. This standard was developed by the FIA to improve overall helmet performance and safety and is known as the most severe racing helmet standard. Since 2004, when Bell introduced the first FIA8860 helmet in the world, the HP helmets have been constantly improved. The current models are a direct result of intense Research & Development and close collaboration with F1 teams and drivers.

For maximum safety, the Bell HP helmets feature a pure carbon shell using autoclave technology, combined with a specific expanded polystyrene energy absorbing liner.

Test show that in certain impacts, the Bell HP helmets absorb up to 40 per cent more energy !

Depending of the fit pad size and the mounted accessories such as spoilers, flaps or air intake, the Bell HP helmets weight only 1290 grams (+/- 5%) in size 59, making them the lightest and the safest helmets actually available in the world for automobile racing.

In 1966 Bell launched the world’s first full-face motorsports helmet, technologically a quantum leap forward. Nobody expected less from Bell. After all, Bell invented the motorsports helmet in 1954, significantly upgraded the design with the addition of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam a couple years later and quickly earned the admiration and support of the world’s top motorsport racers and enthusiasts. For these drivers in search of excellence, the Bell KC3-CMR and RS3-K are specially designed for them. The Bell KC3-CMR helmet is certified to the new CMH standard, developed jointly by the FIA Institute and the Snell Memorial Foundation. This standard has been developed to create safer and lighter helmets for use in karting.

Under CIK regulations, helmets with Snell-FIA CMH standard (CMR) approval can be used by all drivers in karting. These helmets are strongly recommended for all kart drivers and are mandatory from 01/01/2010 for drivers under 15 years old.

Pro and Sport series racing helmets are equipped with a standard non-antifog clear visor as standard equipment. All visors that are available separately are fitted with Bell’s unique DSAF (Double Screen Anti-Fog), the most advanced anti fog system on the market. The visors for KC3-CMR come with high performance anti-fog coating.

HansPro Series and Sport Series helmets (Snell SA 2010) are compatible with Frontal Head Restraint systems as per latest FIA 8858-2010 standard. They are all fitted with M6 terminals and come with a destruct-on-removal label with unique serial number situated on the helmet energy absorbing liner.

The Hans versions feature Hans “Post Anchor Clips” already bolted to the M6 terminals as original equipment. The regular versions (“non Hans”) feature the same M6 terminals ready to easily receive the latest generation of FHR anchor clips without any need to remove inner parts of the helmets.

Custom Painting ServiceBell Racing offers factory custom painting with the guarantee that the painting will not affect the original protective qualities of the helmet.
