    1-3-C. VISUAL FLIGHT RULES (VFR)

    VISUAL FLIGHT is defined as that in which

    helicopter is flown in circumstances when

    visibility conditions are such that attitude

    determination by outside visual reference is

    possible , prov ided a lso that a t n ighthelicopter shall not be flown in circumstances

    in which sight of ground or water is other than

    momentarily lost.

    Flight over clouds shall not be commenced

    subsequent to an engine becoming

    inoperative.

    1-4. FLIGHT CREW

    1-4-A. PASSENGER OPERATIONS

    Minimum crew consists of one pilot who shall

    operate helicopter from right crew seat.

    Left crew seat may be used for an additional

    pilot station for VMC day and night operations

    when approved dual controls and copilot

    instrument kits are installed.

    1-4-B. CARGO OPERATION

    NOTE

    Refer to the applicable operating

    rules for internal cargo operations.

    1-5. CONFIGURATION

    1-5-A. OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

    Refer to Appendix A for listing of Flight

    Manual Supplements (FMS) covering optional

    equipment kits available.

    1-5-B. DOORS OPEN/REMOVED

    NOTE

    Helicopter may be flown with doors

    open or off only with Bell Standard

    interior installed.

    Both crew doors on or off, and/or both sliding

    doors locked open or removed with both

    hinged panels installed or removed. In all

    cases, door configuration must be identical

    for each side of fuselage. Refer to Section 5

    for weight/CG effect.

    Flight with doors removed or with sliding

    doors open results in a maximum rear change

    in CG as follows:

    Maximum gross weight is 11,200 pounds

    (5080.3 kg).
