Big Brother/Big Sister ClassMeets January 4 from 10 a.m.–12 Noon. Free class for sibling prep. Hospital Auditorium. Call to register 364-5237.

Birth Preparation ClassesClasses start Tuesdays, Jan. 7 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. and Friday January 10 from 9–11 a.m. for four weeks. Free classes for those delivering at Beloit Hospital and $25 for those delivering elsewhere. Call 364-5237 to register.

Breastfeeding ClassesMeets January 8 from 6–8:30 p.m. Prepare the way for a successful breastfeeding experience by attending this class before you have your baby, or attend after the birth with your baby. Call 364-5237 to register.

Spanish BirthPreparation Classes

Spanish Classes start Thursdays, January 9 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. and meet for four weeks. Free for those delivering at Beloit Hospital and $25 for those delivering else-where. Call 364-5237 to register.

Counseling Care Center

Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment

If you have concerns about your teen’s use of alcohol and other drugs, call Amanda at 364-5686 for a substance abuse assess-ment. This program provides individual and group therapy to help educate teens on sub-stance use risks, increase coping skills, and assist youth with making healthy choices. (Note: This program also meets require-ments for teens involved with the court sys-tem due to Underage Drinking citations.)

Evidence Based Practice Anxiety Group

We are currently taking referrals for a treat-ment group for anxiety planned to start in January/February. Group meets two hours per week for 8-12 weeks, depending on the needs of the participants. Do you find yourself worrying about many things most of the time? Are you having problems sleeping because you cannot stop the worry? Does this worry affect your relationships with oth-ers because you are often irritable, can't concentrate, or too tired to do things? If you are struggling with these concerns and are interested in working on them in a group environment, please call 364-5686 today to learn more about this evidence based anxiety group.

Pie and Coffee SeriesSkills Based Therapy Group designed for

adults 65–100+

Group meets January 10 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Occupational Health, Sports and Family Medicine Center, 1650 Lee Lane, Beloit. Pie, coffee and tea are served. We focus topics on enjoying and meeting the challenges of this phase of life. Facilitated by Sally Greer, Psychotherapist, Counseling Care Center. Please register by calling 364-5686. Medicare covers the cost of the group.
