 Berry to Bomaderry Princes Highway upgrade Start of major construction work Roads and Maritime Services | September 2018 The NSW Government is upgrading the $450 million Princes Highway between Berry and Bomaderry to improve road safety, increase road capacity and deliver better and more reliable journeys. This is the final piece of more than 30 kilometres of upgraded highway between Gerringong and Bomaderry. Roads and Maritime Services has engaged Downer Seymour Whyte Joint Venture (DSWJV) to build the upgrade. The project will extend from Mullers Lane in Berry to Cambewarra Road in Bomaderry. Work to relocate utility services is currently underway. Major construction work began in late August 2018 and be completed late 2022. Project benefits The project will: • Increase road capacity • Improve traffic flow • Deliver better and more reliable journeys • Increase overtaking opportunities • Improve safety • Plan for future traffic growth. Ongoing and upcoming work You will notice the following activities along the highway: • Establishing temporary site office compounds and storage areas • Installing temporary traffic control and safety barriers • Carrying out survey work • Completing utility service investigations and relocations • Setting up water quality basins, dust measuring monitors and sediment control fencing to reduce impacts on the environment • Clearing remaining trees and shrubs within the work area • Starting earth work. Work hours Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm Mondays to Fridays and 8am and 1pm Saturdays, excluding Sundays and public holidays, weather permitting. There may be some work required at night in some locations. Nearby residents and the community will be notified in advance of this work. The NSW Government is upgrading the $450 million Princes Highway between Berry and Bomaderry to improve road safety increase road capacity and deliver better and more reliable journeys

The speed limit on the Princes Highway between Mullers Lane and Cambewarra Road has been reduced to 80kmh This is to ensure the safety of motorists and workers during construction

Lane closures may be in place and may affect travel times Please plan your trip keep to speed limits and follow signs and traffic controllersrsquo directions
