A Message from the Administrative team:
“Diversity is not about how we differ. Diversity is about embracing one another’s uniqueness.”
~ Ola Joseph We had a great Winter Activity Day with lots of fresh air and physical activity. Students enjoyed their time at Harbourfront, Snow Valley and Mansfield. It’s a great opportunity to laugh and bond with one another. Thank you Mr Couper and Tracey for making the arrangements for this day! Our grade 6 group will be enjoying more outdoors at Sheldon Outdoor Ed Centre this week. We wish them a safe and enjoyable week! It is a short week this week! We want to wish everyone a wonderful Valentine’s and Family Day weekend full of fun family time. ~ Ms. Broderick and Ms. Rosenbloom

Reporting School Absences: We would like to thank Tracey and Gail in the office who do an amazing job with our Safe Arrival process in the am and pm. We are asking parents to help ensure our attendance is accurate. To ensure the safety of all our students, the office will call home if a child is marked absent in the morning during period 1 and after lunch. Our protocol is to call the parents/guardians listed in our system. If we can’t reach anyone and don’t know where the child is, then it’s our duty to call the police and declare a child missing. If your child will be absent for tournaments, trips, illness, etc., please let the office know either by email [email protected] or phone 416.396.2319 and indicate the reason. Office staff are required to enter a code (reason) for the system. I If your child is leaving early, an email or call in the morning will decrease the number of calls required to be made after lunch. Parents can meet their child in the office and sign them out prior to leaving. Thank you for your cooperation with this important matter.

The call will occur on Wednesday, February 17 from 6:45pm to 7:30 pm. In order to participate on this call from home or another location, you will need:

Fundraising Record! A huge thank you to Angie Robb for enthusiastically taking on the Dance-a-thon and setting a fundraising record! A lot of hard work went into planning this popular event and it paid off. Students had a blast on the dance floor and over $5,000 was raised for the school. Thanks also to all the staff and volunteers who helped out and everyone who supported with donations. Go Back to Bejiji Another friendly reminder to check the Bejiji page on our website. Teachers are still looking for plastic bins, buckets, paint cans and books. Get in touch with them directly if you can help! Visit www.bessboroughhomeandschool.com now for details on all of this and more!
