The Akrapovic Slip-On system was developed to enhance the engine perfor-mance characteristics in the most useable part of the range and thus improve the ride characteristics for recreational enduro riders. Akrapovic Racing and Evolution complete exhaust systems are available for more demanding riders. The Akrapovic Slip-On system has a noise damper installed for the European market and an approved spark arrester for the American market.

PERFORMANCE

Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON system on the BETA 400RR (with muf-fler insert):

Power & Torque: The Akrapovic Slip-On system is designed for recreational enduro riders. The biggest change in engine characteristics comes in the middle of the rpm range between 4500 and 6500 rpm, with some additional increases at the top end and in the overrev range. At 8600 rpm we measured a healthy 39 HP.

CONFIGURATION

The Akrapovic Slip-On system for the Beta comes from the offroad MX/Enduro fam-ily, as can be seen from its design. It is composed of a conical stainless steel link pipe which is welded to the muffler. At the other end it is attached to the stock header assembly with a sleeve joint secured with a metal clamp. The inlet cap is made of stainless steel due to the weld with the link pipe. The inner perforation is also made of stainless steel. The outlet cap and muffler outer sleeve are made of titanium. The system is attached to the motorcycle using Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamps. The sys-tem has a noise damper installed for the European market and an approved spark arrester for the American market, which is laser-etched on the muffler.
