Please Read & Apply the Following Important Reminders: 1. Eligibility Forms – As a reminder to ALL members and parents of members who plan to compete in a 4-H related
event, we MUST obtain a copy of a student’s eligibility prior to the contest date. The only forms of eligibility we will accept are DIRECT written correspondence from the school. In the event that a member is deemed ineligible, their contest entry will be pulled. Any recognition/honors/awards a member was selected to receive will be rescinded in the event that a member has elected to attend an event without permission from 4-H or the school. It is imperative that club managers and project leaders stress the importance of member eligibility. Failure to do so can result in 4-H not being recognized by individual school district boards as an approved extracurricular event and therefore negatively impacting member’s excused absences. Please take a moment to remind your club member’s at your next meeting on this important matter.
2. Travel to 4-H Events Policy – 4-H Members are NOT allowed to drive themselves or other member’s to 4-H events, contests or activities outside County lines. Member’s must always be in the company of a registered volunteer chaperone when travel is needed. Please communicate with your club member’s and adult leaders to ensure this policy is understood.
