    U.S. Electrical Motors introduces a special threephase open dripproof motor which is UL listedfor fire pump applications. These motors meetUL-1004A and NFPA20, Standard for theInstallation of Centrifugal Fire PumpSpecification.

    Fire pump motors are available in the opendripproof design, as well as FUT and UT(Aluminum frame TEFC Unimount), FCT and CT(Cast Iron frame TEFC Hostile Duty), TU, AU,RU and HU (Vertical motor designs), frames143T through 449J.

    These motors for fire pump applications meetthe special design requirements listed below toqualify for U.S. Electrical Motors UL-listed firepump ratings.

    All motors are designed to meet NEMADesign B limitations per NEMA MG1-1993.

    All motors are rated 500 horsepower or less and 600 volts or less.

    Calculated safe stall time exceeds 12seconds (cold).

    All motors meet Canadian CSA-390Table 2 efficiency requirements.

    Motors are suitable for wye-delta starton 250 frame and larger.
