Day 01: Enter the Kingdom of Bhutan (Arrive at Paro Airport & Drive to Thimphu-55km/1.5hours)
Experience the breathtaking views of the high Himalayan peaks as you fly into Paro valley (2,200 meters)
where you can get the first glimpse of this magical country. After the visa formalities at Paro airport, you
will be received by your private guide with a white scarf of auspiciousness and drive to Thimphu.
On the way, stop at the invigorating Tachog Lhakhang (the Iron Chain Bridge), a temple located across
the famous iron chain bridge built over the meandering Pa Chhu (Paro River). Devour yourself to the
revitalizing ambience of the cool-sweeping breeze and bright colored prayer flags. The whole set up a
feast to the eye.
Upon arriving at Thimphu (2,300 meters), check in your hotel and freshen up before visiting the exquisite
massive structure of Thimphu Tashichho Dzong- a master piece of Bhutanese architecture.
Visit the local archery ground where the locals celebrate the national sport with dance and song with
every hit.
Take a stroll in the evening around Thimphu town and absorb the magical atmosphere of the capital city
while capturing the sight of contemporary Bhutanese life.

Day 02: Journey to the Golden Punakha Valley (Thimphu- Punakha -71kms/3-4hours)
Your guide and vehicle will come to pick you up from the hotel and proceed for sightseeing for in
Thimphu before to heading to Punakha valley.
Drive up to Buddha Dordenma at Kuenselphodrang in Thimphu and catch the vibrant Buddha Dordenma
statue in the early morning sunrise. Apart from the serenity of the place the view of the Thimphu city
from this mountain is gorgeous.
Ascend to Dochu La- Pass at 3,100 meters above sea level marked by colorful prayer flags and
concentrated 108 Buddhist Stupas. Stop at the Dochula cafeteria for a cup hot coffee while enjoying the
mesmerizing panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges.
From Dochula Pass descend to the Golden Punakha valley at 1,200 meters. On arriving Punakha; walk
along the path through the traditional houses of Sopsokha village amidst agricultural fields of rice and
mustard, leading to a hillock where the temple of the Divine Mad monk is located or Chimi Lhakhang.
After a fulfilling lunch, drive along the valley floor of Punakha River to the striking Punakha Dzong
located at the confluence of Pho Chhu (Male River) & Mo Chhu (Female River). Punakha Dzong is
arguably the most beautiful Dzong in Bhutan.
If you’re in the mood for adventure you can try white river rafting or visit the hilltop Nunnery at Wolakha
village.

Day 03: Punakha- Paro (130kms/4.5hours)
Retrace your way back to Dochu La Pass for a second chance to see the snow capped Mountains ranges.
Upon arriving Paro take an enchanting leisure hike to ancient Zuri Dzong which starts from above the national Museum; it is a great spot for amazing photography of the verdant Paro valley, Paro Dzong and the Ta Dzong.
Later try your taste pallet to the different flavors of Bhutanese beer at Namgay Artisinal Brewery before
taking a stroll through the typical Bhutanese street of Paro town. There are numerous handicrafts from
where you can buy Bhutanese souvenirs.

Day 04: Paro Taktsang (4-6hours)
The Best for last; get your energy up at breakfast this morning for a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest
Monastery. Venture through the pristine forest to get to the monastery resting on a cliff 900 meters off
the Paro valley.
Hike up to Tiger’s Nest Monastery or Taktsang- the most iconic sites of Bhutan. Tiger’s Nest or Taktsang
acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th Century Guru Rinpoche, widely
revered as the second Buddha in Bhutan, arrived from Tibet flying across the mountains on the back of a
tigress and meditated here for three months and blessed the place by his presence and preached tantric
Buddhism in Bhutan.
Apart from the virtue that this place holds for the Buddhists, the sight of the monastery is awe-inspiring.
After the Tiger’s Nest hike, we will visit the ancient Kichu Lhakhang dating back to the 7th century.
Later in the evening soak yourself in the healing traditional hot stone bath to relax your muscles from the
hike and try your skills on game of local archery.
