    The Big Cheese comes to CaerphiTe annual estival that oers unor all the amily kicks o this Fri-day July 26 with entertainment thatguarantees to put a cheesey grin onyour ace.

    Last years event attracted more

    than 80,000 visitors, with amiliesrom all over the country ockingto experience the history, heritageand culture o Caerphilly.

    Closing the Friday night cel-ebrations will be a spectacular re-works display.

    Saturday and Sunday will o-er ood and cra stalls along withdance, music, entertainment and

    activities or all amily.

    Get the Big Cheese bus offerOn Saturday and Sunday July 27

    and 28, visitors can take advantagerom a Stagecoach bus oer thatallows a amily to travel to Caer-philly town centre or 7, insteado the usual cost o 14.60.

    Te ticket allows unlimitedtravel or one adult to travel with

    three children or two adults with

    two children.ickets can be bought rom

    any Stagecoach bus in CaerphillyCounty Borough, and at any stopin Newport, Cardi and Pon-typridd when travelling to the BigCheese weekend.

    Avoid the trafc and use the parkand ride scheme that will operateover the weekend.

    On Friday July 26, a ree Park

    and Ride scheme will operaterom St Cenydd School, withbuses running rom 1.30pm to10.45pm.

    On Saturday July 27 and Sun-day July 28, a Park and Ride willalso operate rom Bedwas HighSchool as well.

    Both car parks will charge aee o 3 per car, with buses run-ning rom 10am to 7.45pm.

    ON YOUR MARKS: The 2012 Big Cheese Race gets underway

    Whats on this year?Visitors are invited to grab a sliceo the Big Cheese action and joinin the un at the Friday night open-ing celebrations, which kick o at3pm with a unair, musical enter-tainment, Great Cheese Race andantastic reworks display.

    Te traditional unair will openat 3pm or all to enjoy, whether vis-itors to the estival are looking ora thrill on the white-knuckle rides,a magical time on the carousel oreven a go at winning a teddy, thereis something or everyone.

    At 6pm the music marquee willopen to bring revellers the best oWelsh musical entertainment romlocal groups with a blend o musicincluding olk, blues & rock.

    Rolling onto 6.30pm, one o themain highlights o the weekend isthe Great Cheese Race, which isa real truckle o laughs or bothcompetitors and spectators. Set inthe outskirts o Caerphilly Cas-tle, adult and junior teams will becheered on a relay course, whilstcarrying some cheese.
