We believe in the value and values of mentoring
Mentoring is built on caring, respect and the willingness to listen.
Studies show that mentoring helps young people stay in school and have the confidence to develop positive pathways into the future.
Changing young lives can build strong communities
Building relationships between young people and caring adults is a good foundation for building strong communities. Young people feel connected and want to give back – everybody benefits.
Start something today

In-School Mentoring makes a difference
For both you and the young person, the mentoring experience can become a life-changing relationship built on friendship, trust and empowerment.
A study commissioned by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada clearly validates the beneficial impact programs such as Big Futures In-School Mentoring have on young people.
While positively influencing the life of a young person is reason enough, our mentors never shy away from telling us that by being a mentor they experience tremendous gain in their own lives.
Big Futures In-School Mentoring Program is built on one to one relationships
Education is a young person’s greatest chance of building a positive future.
The Big Futures program gives community members the opportunity to connect with a vulnerable young person in a school setting. You can support and encourage them to take full advantage of what schools offer and develop a positive pathway into the future.
It’s something you can do
There are lots of ways that you can connect with a young person and we will give you the tools to make that happen so you can share quality time together.
Go back and help a young person go forward
