• Best average results – Bentley AECOsim
78.57% of supported concepts, best overall export in Window 01 / 2x3 (86.36% of accuracy).
• Worst average results – Autodesk Revit
50.00% of supported concepts, lowest global accuracy in Slab 02A / 2x3 (37.50%).

BIM Project Execution Plans and Open BIM via IFC2x3 13BIC2016 | Lisbon
• As the number of building elements and/orthe number of BIM authoring tools rises, the number of unsupported IFC2x3 itemsincreases too.
• Unsupported items start rising linearly, butsoon experience an exponential growth.
• Therefore, interoperability issues should beaddressed thoroughly in BIM ExecutionPlans prior to any modeling, in order toanticipate and minimize – at a lower cost –potential problems that may arise.
• The ideal (utopian?) situation would reveala flat number of unsupported items –tending to zero – regardless the number ofbuilding elements and/or BIM authoringtools that are employed in the project.
