The high yielding varieties and chemical input intensive agriculture undoubtedly raised the food production
potential of the world, making it possible to feed the masses. However, over dependence on agrochemicals and their
injudicious usages have adversely affected the delicate balance of the ecosystem. This called for a non-chemical
intervention and led to the development of several biological options for meeting the nutrient requirements, plant
stimulation and combating pest and diseases. With increasing consumer awareness and preference for organic food,
the relevance of biological means in crop management is increasing. Biological Farming combines the best of
conventional and organic farming with an emphasis on farming sustainability and attaining naturally productive
soils that display high levels of biological activity and pest and plant nutrition management with the use of bio
pesticides, bio-fertilisers and bio-stimulants.
Agriculture Today Group, as global media and think tank, focused on promoting policies, trade, technologies,
investments and international cooperation and collaborations in agriculture sector is organizing BioAg Asia 2020
from April 22-24 in New Delhi to give major boost to bio-agriculture sector in India and Asian countries. BioAg
Asia 2020 aims to bring all bio-stimulant and bio-input companies from around the world and other key
stakeholders on one platform for an insight into the future trends and dynamics and to provide a dynamic platform to
explore market opportunities and forge business linkages.

BioAg Global Outlook
The global demand for organic products is growing at 16% -18% per annum. A total of 78 million hectares were
organically managed at the end of 2018, representing a growth of 20 percent or 11 million hectares over 2017, the
largest growth ever recorded. The organic products worth $95 billion were sold globally in 2017. The USA,
Germany, Brazil and France enjoy the largest share of market in organic produce. Among bio-inputs, globally the
bio-stimulants market has the largest share and also fastest growing. Asia has got maximum potential, as it accounts
for 60% plus of the global agriculture output. In fact, China and India alone account for 27.2% of the global
agriculture by value.
Indian agriculture is the 2nd largest in the world @ 407 billion USD, growing a wide variety of field and horticulture
crops with 280 million MT of food grains and 330 million MT of F&V production. With 835,000 certified organic
producers, India is home to more than 30 per cent of total number of organic producers (2.7 million) in the world.
The country is now focused on quality improvement, safe food production, value chain development and exports;
and as such the market for bio-ag products will see massive boost, especially for exports linked agriculture. Indian
Government is also giving major boost to organic agriculture and natural farming systems towards reducing the
load of chemicals on crops and tapping organic food market. Therefore, the Bio-inputs, Bio-control and bio-
stimulants market is set to receive major boost and the market may rapidly grow @18-20% in next a decade or two.
Similar kind of changes are seen in other major Asian countries; China, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Bangladesh,
Malaysia, Indonesia and Central Asia. While global bio-stimulants market, led by Europe and Americas has been
rapidly growing @ 18% with the entry of top corporates such as BASF, Bayer, Syngenta, UPL, AlgaEnergy, Agrinos
etc. and fertilizer majors such as YARA and OCP and aggressive play by the traditional bio-input companies such as
Acadian, Valagro, Novozymes, Koppert, NTS, Agricola, Verdesian etc.. The market is expected to reach $ 10 billion
by 2025 from its current level of approximately $ 4 billion.
BioAg Asia 2020 invites target visitors through all kinds of channels according to the exhibitors'
conditions. The officials, industry, institutions, producers, scientists, experts, traders, importers,
investors, dealers, farmers and other professional organizations.
Trade Visitors
BioAg Asia Expo 2020Bio Agriculture has emerged as a way of farming which ensures the health of both local and global ecosystems and
refrains from the use of synthetic fertilisers or agrochemicals. Bio Agriculture employs various techniques ranging
from application of composts containing biodynamic preparations, bio-stimulants, biofertilisers, bio-pesticides,
plant growth regulators, plant and animal based amino acids, green manuring, crop rotation and companion
planting. With the aim to showcase the products, technologies and techniques, there is a dedicated BioAg Asia Expo
2020, to provide exhibiting opportunities for the industry, Government and research institutions, agri services and
development organisations.
A notable feature of BioAg Asia 2020 is to serve as an effective platform for business to business meetings for
the Asian and global bio-control and bio-stimulant companies, research and technology institutions and
services industry so as to collaborate for technologies, products and businesses. The BioAg Asia B2B
Meetings are designed to facilitate delegates exploring business and technology opportunities and
maximize networking. Separate meeting rooms and trade tables adjacent to conference venue, will be
provided for B2B meetings to the sponsors or with separate bookings. Advance registration will be required
to participate and schedule meetings.

Agriculture has been the primary occupation of human beings. What began as a means of survival, has today emerged as a significant economic
activity around the world. Agriculture has transformed in various ways from subsistence to affluence, from traditional to technological, from
undefined to precise, and the pace has rapidly accelerated in the last one decade with the globalization and technological advancement. In this journey
of transformation media has played critical roles. Still there is a long way to go in making the planet free from hunger and malnutrition.
Increasing population, changing climate, diminishing resources and increasing disposable incomes have put agriculture worldwide under tremendous
pressure. While the developed countries moved up in food, nutrition and health chain through technological advancements, second and third world
countries are grappling with challenges in farming and food production. Developing and underdeveloped nations in order to boost agriculture and
unlock the potential of trade and technologies, need cooperation and collaboration and global experiences at an accelerated pace.
The experiences of the country like India, which pulled out over 500 million people from the jaws of hunger deaths through Green Revolution,
provides excellent learning experiences for most of the African and many of the Asian and Latin American countries with its experiences and diversity
of learning through Green Revolution in food production, White Revolution in milk, Blue Revolution in fisheries and Golden Revolution in
horticulture production. Agriculture Today Group, headquartered in New Delhi benefits hugely by the Indian experiences as also the Asian, European
and American experiences.
Agriculture Today is one of leading global agriculture magazines, that delivers the latest news and analysis of pressing agricultural issues of
international importance. The magazine analyses sectorial concerns involving bio-technology, farm-mechanisation, seeds, fertilizers, bio-agriculture,
crop protection, horticulture, animal husbandry, food processing, agribusiness, ICT, research and marketing etc. The Group comprises of the
