The BISD Scholarship is a result of a partnership that works in conjunction with BISD endowed scholarship funding and Tarrant County College District financial assistance programs.

The Partnership
This scholarship ensures tuition costs for students for up to $780.00 per fall and spring semester. Each student must meet all eligibility criteria in order to receive the award.
*Graduating seniors that have attended BISD high schools for their full junior and senior years.
*Students graduating early must have earned their credits for both their junior and senior year of high school at a BISD high school.

*Students must enroll at Tarrant County College during the first fall or spring semester immediately following graduation (except in cases of deferment due to active U.S. military service). The scholarship must be activated during this timeframe.
*Tarrant County College must be the student’s first college of attendance.
*The program is available for two consecutive semesters per student pending renewal requirements (summer sessions and mini-mesters are not covered).

* Students must enroll and successfully complete STSC 0111 (Transition to College Success) their first semester at TCC.
* Students that are exempt or met the TSI obligations are not required to complete the STSC Course.

*Must meet with an academic advisor a minimum of three times per semester.
*Students are required to meet with their academic advisor before dropping any course(s).

Can I receive this scholarship with other forms of financial aid?

• If other forms of financial assistance provided through TCCD are less than $780 per semester, the remaining balance of the student’s tuition fees will be paid to a maximum of $780.00 total.
• If other forms of financial assistance provided through TCCD are more than $780 per semester, student will not receive this scholarship.
• Students may receive other scholarships from outside organizations during the semester(s) in which they receive the BISD Scholarship.
1. Student did not apply for admission to TCC.
2. Student did not include their SSN on their application for admission to TCC.
3. Student’s date of birth is before the 9/1/97 cut off.
4. Student did not include their high school on their application for admissions to TCC.
5. Student did not include TCC as a school on their FAFSA by using 003626.
6. Student waited too long to complete the FAFSA (should complete by the priority deadline of May 1 in case they are selected for verification. File must be COMPLETE by July 1).
7. If student is dual credit, they must enroll in a valid undergraduate program. (This will require the student to be sure they turn in their official high school transcript.)
8. Student did not complete verification.
9. Student did not check their MyTCC email account.
10.After they’ve been awarded, student did not enroll in 6 credit hours.
