STAFF PROFILEWendy Jackson
Childcare & Education Lecturer
After leaving school I completed a
two-year Nursery Nurse course to
follow my dream of working with
young children. This led to my ideal
job at a local nursery school, where I
worked for 30 happy years.
Having supported many childcare
students on work placement, I was
inspired to continue my own
education. I attended Sunderland
University and Bishop Auckland
College part-time to achieve my
ultimate goal of becoming a tutor in
Childcare and Education.
I now help many young people

a range of early years settings,
including Day Care, Primary, and
Nursery Schools as well as those
aiming to be a Nanny or
