Bishop William Ward C of E Primary School Newsletter 5 th June 2020 Happy, respectful, lifelong learners ‘I have come so that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness’ John 10:10 Dear Parents/Carers Despite the significant changes to school routines, it has been great to see the classrooms coming back to life again this week. I hope that those of you still learning at home have enjoyed some of the Environment Week activities alongside the Maths and English learning tasks. Here are a few pictures that show how the children in school have been adapting to a new way of working: Thank you to all the children, staff and parents for being considerate, patient and vigilant this week. It is not easy adapting to new ways of working, but I have seen how thoughtful everyone is being about staying safe. Depsite the extra rules and expectations, we are still maintaining a positive, friendly and purposeful atmopshere. I asked some of our Year 1 pupils how it was going: "Being back at school is fun because we haven't seen each other in a long time." Zach "I'm having fun with my friends." Jesse "I'm sad we can't hug each other but I am enjoying my lessons. I really enjoyed doing yoga and designing our Environmental posters." Ellie G "It's really fun seeing all my friends again and doing some learning." Sienna "It's really fun being back at school." Elodie "I feel excited to be back at school." Jaeden Even our youngest children have got used to working at individual desks Socially distant playtimes Different playtime activities Lunch in the classroom

Dear Parents/Carers Despite the significant changes to school routines, it has been great to see the classrooms coming back to life again this week.
