Introduction

Bladeless fan is one of the outstanding results of the

technological innovations taking place today. Also known

as the Air Multiplier, the Bladeless fan works in an

altogether different manner from conventional fans. It uses

Air Multiplier technology to draw in air and amplify it – from

15 to 18 times, depending on the model. With no blades or

grill, they are safe and easy to clean. And it produces an

uninterrupted flow of smooth air, with no unpleasant

buffeting as in the case of fan.

Features

Bladeless

FAN

• Bladeless Fan is a glimpse of the Next Generation

Technology.

• It has no spinning blades, making it safe to use for both children and adult.

• Easy to clean – As the name says, Bladeless means

there are no blades that get dirty and no safety grilles

to remove. To clean the fan, simply wipe with it with a

cloth.

• Speed control switch & rotations control -

Conventional fans have limited power settings &

rotations, on the other hand Bladeless Fan allows

you to precisely adjust airflow power till 90

degrees.

• Smooth adjustments on tilt positions till 10 degrees on either side.

FAN

Working Principle

It operates on 120 to 240V AC Input Voltages. Air is

accelerated through an annular aperture and over an18°

airfoil-shaped ramp, generating an uninterrupted flow of

smooth air.

Given below is a simple diagram to help us better

understand how the bladeless fan actually works, we

will refer back to the diagram as we explain the

process.

A. Around 27 liters of air is sucked in per second, through the small

vents in the base of the fan by a 40 watt electric motor, which is at

the lower end of the average wattage used in conventional fans.

B. The air is propelled through a motor and out of a 3mm slit in the frame at a speed of 55mph.

C. The air then passes over an airfoil-shaped ramp directing it outwards.

D. What follows next is really interesting. As the air is pushed

outwards, the surrounding air is drawn into the airflow, which

increases the original volume of air by 15 times and since there are

no blades chopping the air, the entire airflow is propelled out evenly,

rather than getting irregular blasts to your face as with a conventional

bladed fan.

Benefits

Bladeless

FAN

• Smooth air just like a natural breeze.

• No buffeting

• Airflow control

• Dimmer-switch control

• Precisely adjusts airflow power

• Since it has no blades, it is safe and easy to clean

• It also comes equipped with 10° touch-tilt, 90°

oscillation

• Bladeless Fan has a sophisticated as well as trendy

design, which adds to the looks of your home or office.

Bladeless

FAN

Usage FAN

• It can be used in corporate offices, educational

institutes, residence, etc.

• It allows individuals to customize their own

personal comfort.

• It can be used in libraries as there is virtually no sound. • It can also be given as a gift.

Bladeless

FAN

Comparison FAN

The blades on conventional fans cause an unpleasant

buffeting because they chop the air before it hits us

Air Multiplier technology amplifies the airflow by

drawing in the surrounding air, giving an

uninterrupted flow of smooth air.

FAN

Feature Air Multiplier fan Conventional fan

Blades No blades for fingers to get caught up in

the on-off flow of air

Bladed fan that chops up the air into awkward

segments

Air moving performance Thin ring of air movement Complete circle of air movement

Airflow Uninterrupted airflow Unwanted buffeting due to chopping of air

Adjustment of airflow Adjusting power & air flow easy and

precise with the turn of a dial

Limited setting for adjusting power & airflow

Safety Completely safe (even for kids & pets)

without spinning fan blades & grills

Unsafe - Bladed fans with grills

Maintenance Easy to assemble & put back- No

awkward grills

Simple to clean - Wiping the fan's loop

amplifier easy using a cloth

Pretty difficult to assemble parts with a fan built

with grills

Cleaning bladed fans can be annoying at times

Position Position of motor on the base than on the

top - Fan pivots on its centre of gravity

facilitating convenient touch-tilt

Position of motor on the top- Bladed fans are

cumbersome & top-heavy

Oscillation Oscillates 90º simply at the press of a

button

Shaky oscillation - Needs holding the fan steady

& pulling the toggle

Energy-efficiency High - Draws in more than 5 gallons of

air/second

Not quite energy efficient (depending upon the

model)

Noise level Not very high, but not too silent either Moderate - High (depending upon the model)

Assembly level Easy Moderate - Difficult (depending upon the model)

FAQs

• Why we also call Bladeless Fan an

Air Multiplier?

Bladeless

FAN

Ans: When the air is pushed out of Bladeless Fan, the surrounding air is

drawn into the airflow, which increases the original volume of air by 15

times and the entire airflow is propelled out evenly. Therefore, it is also

known as Air Multiplier.

• What is the angle of rotation in Bladeless Fan?

Ans: The Bladeless Fan provides a 90° rotation.
