MUSIC TOGETHERMusic Together is an award winning early childhood music and movement program for children from birth to kindergarten and the grown-ups who love them. Share the delight of making music in these joy-filled, research-based classes! Infants, toddlers and preschoolers participate at their own developmental level, sharing songs, instrument play, rhythmic rhymes and movement activities in a relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented setting. Classes are mixed-age so siblings can participate together. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. They can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat and participate with confidence, provided that their early environment supports such learning. The Music Together curriculum supports children’s overall development—their cognitive, social, physical, verbal AND music development. Receive an illustrated songbook filled with music-making ideas, a CD with the song collection we’ll be using this winter as well as a code to digitally download and/or stream the music, a corresponding songbook, and a DVD and booklet introducing early childhood music development. Infants under eight months on the first day of the session are free with a paying sibling. The cut off birth date for infant siblings to be free of charge is May 5, 2014 for winter session and July 20, 2014 for Spring Session. Visit a FREE demonstration class before the winter session starts to find out if Music Together is a good fit for your family. For more information or specific questions about the classes, call or e-mail director Clarice Auluck-Wilson, Ph.D. at 651-439-4219, or at [email protected], or visit www.MusicTogetherClasses.org. Kettlebell training is accessible and practical for all; from the elite athlete to those looking to discover fitness for the first time, and everyone in between. It truly transforms your body. OUTSIDE MULLINGARat the Old Log TheaterOutside Mullingar is a romantic comedy about Anthony and Rosemary, neighbors in rural Ireland, who are nearing their middle years. It is by turns poetic, uplifting, dark and funny. Anthony is an introverted farmer and Rosemary is the woman that vows to have him at all costs. When Anthony’s father threatens to disinherit his son, Rosemary steps into the middle of a land feud and family eccentricities beyond what one might imagine. On the brink of romantic catastrophe, this one of a kind Irish heroine fights against time and mortality in hopes of securing her dream love. The New York Times called Outside Mullingar “a softhearted comedy freckled with dark reflections on the unsatisfactory nature of life and the thorns of love” and The Hollywood Reporter calls it, “a charmer of a play”. Price includes motor coach transportation, ticket, and lunch. Make your meal selection at time of registration: short ribs, pan seared tilapia, rolled penne pasta, or roasted chicken breast. Meal includes bread, beverage, and dessert. Register by January 12.DATE: Wednesday, January 28TIME: 11 AM – 4:45 PMFEE: $59

THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS at the Old Log TheaterThis happy go lucky view of small town vice and statewide political side-stepping recounts the good times and the demise of the Chicken Ranch, known since the 1850s as one of the better pleasure palaces in all of Texas. Governors, senators, mayors, and even victorious college football teams frequent Miss Mona’s cozy bordello until that puritan nemesis Watchdog focuses his television cameras and his righteous indignation on the institution. Made popular by the Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds movie, the play is a nostalgic look at a delicate subject, but there’s nothin’ dirty going on! Price includes motor coach transportation, ticket, and lunch. Make your meal selection at time of registration: short ribs, pan seared tilapia, rolled penne pasta, or roasted chicken breast. Meal includes bread, beverage, and dessert. Register by March 31. DATE: Thursday, April 16TIME: 11 AM – 4:45 PMFEE: $59

GOD GIRLat the the History TheaterMeet the bright and spirited Macalester College graduate who was one of the first women accepted into the Master of Divinity program at Princeton Theological Seminary. In 1975, when the war in Vietnam was over and the women’s liberation movement was in full swing, an idealistic and determined young woman decided to change the world starting with her ordination to ministry. This new play by Presbyterian pastor and former Star Tribune columnist Kristine Holmgren reflects on the hard work, humor, and heartbreak experienced by the brave women who dared to break through the stained glass ceiling within the Protestant Church. Lunch on your own after the show at Joseph’s Grill. Register by January 13 DATE: Thursday, February 19TIME: 9 AM – 3 PMFEE: $32

THE DEBUTANTE’S BALL at the History TheaterEnjoy a glimpse into the pageantry, customs, and teenage restlessness that are all part of the Valentine’s Ball and Presentation of Debutantes and Escorts. Since 1978, Minnesota’s Filipino-American community has gathered for this annual affair which celebrates their vibrant heritage as Filipinos and Americans. This fun new coming-of-age play by local artist and former debutante escort Eric “Pogi” Sumangil follows six teens as they prepare for this special event and connect with their Filipino heritage through stories, haranas (traditional Filipino love songs), the waltz and even a bit of hip hop, while finding the balance between tradition and assimilation, parental pressure and personal independence. Lunch on your own after the show at Fabulous Ferns. Register by March 18. DATE: Thursday, March 26TIME: 9 AM – 2 PMFEE: $32
