s bunnies will be always there for our Leona Lewis, this is the test of a true fan ormore accurately a bunny. It doesn't matter how fickle the mass media flavour of themonth whether it this singer or that artist to a bunny it is always Leona Lewis, our

Leona had the crowds behind her during the two concerts I had attended this summer andsome fans travelled to Hopefield to see Leona. A friend who is not a Bunny said to me"Why do they not play Leona Lewis on the radio when they play every other female singerof the 21st Century?" I couldn't answer that!

U

Now on to a happier note do you like the new design of Bleeding Lovely Magazine? Yes itis a new fresher and less cluttered design that will make the magazine more clean andless fussy looking.

Our Music Bunny also had a busy summer with the Glassheart tour and two “One OffSpecial Gigs” at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Kew Gardens, all these showshave kept many a bunny happy during the summer months. Proving it does not matterwhat the mainstream media think about our Leona Lewis because she was still on top formduring all the performances.

And but not lease we would like to wish Hopefield Animal Sanctuary a Happy 30 th

Anniversary year and thank Leona for being there for the Sanctuary and Bunnies on theOpen Day on the 21st July.

LEONA LEWIS NEWS DESKLeona Nearly Cancelled Concerts

On the eve of the first show of the

Glassheart Tour Leona nearly hung her

microphone up due exhaustion. Just before

the start of the tour in Berlin Germany on

15th April Leona thought she had all she

could take. 24 hours later she had felt her

usual self and wanted to live her dream of

performing live to her fans, then the

Glassheart Tour kicked off and started a

summer of successful and brilliant Leona

Lewis concerts which included the

Glassheart Tour, the Scarborough Open Air

Theatre and Kew The Music shows.

Just before the Berlin show she blogged "I

have been feeling the pressure so much...

Only a few days ago I probably had one of

the most stressful days of my life, I was in

floods of tears and I had at one point thought

of disappearing into the night and not

coming back. All the emotions you feel

during tour preparations are so

overwhelming."

The Soul of a Music Bunny

Leona is currently working on her forth

album, a Motown inspired Christmas album.

It is not known whether there are covers of

classic Motown hits but it could win the 2006

X Factor fans back, Leona did win on

singing classic hits from the 50's to 80's. This

will get older Baby Boomer fans back on her

side in time for an album of new material in

2014.

Mummy Bunny Celebrates 30 Years o Hopefield

On a glorious hot summer's day on 21st July

Leona hops down to Hopefield Animal

Sanctuary to join Bunnies in celebrating the

animal sanctuary's 30th Birthday. A couple of

other celebrities including Sam Ferris and

Lauren Pope from TOWIE, The Only Way Is

Essex and Alex Reid joined in on the fun

Leona Lewis Memes Closes

The popular Leona Memes website has

closed with it's Leona Lewis theme humour

and creativity. Jaldaire has professional

commitments in music and theatre

production so unfortunately he doesn't the

time to maintain the website. We wish him

the best of Luck in his career and would like

to thank him for Leona Memes. Stop the

press! Jaldaida has just recorded a brilliant

track called “Innocence”.

Queen of the Bunnies Likes the Royal Family

In an interview with Contact Music website

Leona stated that she was a fan of the

Royal Family and was over joyed of the new

arrival with the birth of Prince George in

June, Leona partying during last year during

the Jubilee River Procession and she was

photographed wearing a t-shirt with a

picture of the Queen.

Bunnies Caught on the Web

Leona and her friend Maloy have created

their own website with blogs about what

interest them outside of music, at first you

might think it is a ‘Girly’ Site with blogs on

fashion but on a deeper look there is stuff to

interest male bunnies there with an item on

divers swimming with whales, if you like

wildlife to DIY on Bling Rabbit Hutches and

loads on art and creativity. So something for

everyone then, check it out if you haven’t

yet at http://www.lee-loy.com/

The Glass heart Tour was the long awaitedevent which would see Leona Lewis take tothe road again. The tour would seeperformances in venues across Germany,

Switzerland and the UK. Leona performedsongs from the Glassheart album releasedat the end of last year plus some of hersongs that have become classics. Such asBleeding Love, First Time Ever I Saw YourFace and Run.

I had the pleasure of seeing this show at theRoyal Albert Hall in London on May 8th, thisof course is the venue of the world famousannual “BBC Promenade Concerts” ofclassical music. Leona truly a product of themodern age was not out of place in thisamazing concert hall of a Victorian vintage,

The evening started off with us being treatedto a performance by a new singer calledRyan Read. A singer songwriter with aguitar, who hopefully will have a long careerahead of himself. Ryan’s set took us to abreak in which I got a much needed glass ofcoke on this humid evening.

Then the main attraction, the lady herselfdressed in a red coat style dress witheighties “power dressing” shoulders and aslit in the maxi-skirt to reveal black kneelength boots and a silver metallic belt tofinish off her outfit. Leona had dark blonde

Page 7: Bleeding lovely issue 9

hair in a ponytail style. Later in the show shechanged in a stylish black tracksuit typeoutfit with what looked like a white towelresting on her right shoulder and blackstiletto heels, but it worked and she lookedgreat and towards the end Leona donned awhite gown style dress and looked like aPrincess.

This show was more about what LeonaLewis is about, with the Labyrinth Tour backin 2010 and all it’s circus and nightclubeffects. Aerial artistes, ballet dancers Lord ofthe Rings type performers made greattheatre but kind of distracted you from whatMiss Lewis is really about. The GlassheartTour was better for keeping it true to whatLeona is about, simply, a singer and hersongs. Leona had just a band and shards ofshattered Glassheart as the backdrop (It wasthe Glassheart Tour!), this enabled you toconcentrate on her music. But it was not justabout being serious when a voice carriedacross the auditorium “Where’s the Bunnies!”brought a laugh and smiles to many a faceand of course choruses of ‘I love youLeona!’, the night ended with many Bunniesstanding around and talking for over twohours in the hope of catching Leona, it wasnot to be. I travelled home with a Bunny fromthe Croydon area, not disappointed. On the

bus and train we reflected on that eventhough we did not meet Leona in person thatnight we had witness one amazing night withLeona Lewis. Upon getting off the train andsaying goodbye to my fellow Bunny a shortwalk brought me back to the real world.

The Albert Hall seemed like an amazingdream. The Glassheart Tour had showed usthat Leona Lewis has moved on in a big wayas an artist, with the theatre gimmicks goneand the show going back to basics herperformance came across more memorable.

The Royal Albert Hall also show her increasein status.

On a hot summer's evening outside Kew

Gardens, London a long queue was forming

of Bunnies and other music fans who had

good taste in music in anticipation of an

amazing outdoor summer event, as part of a

festival of music known as "Kew The Music",

attendees were incourage to buy or bring a

picnic to enjoy whilst seeing one special

night of music.

Outside the queue was so long when I joined

it I thought I would miss the start of the

concert, but when got moving before I knew I

was in the park the walk in the park seemed

longer then the wait outside, not that I can

complain I got see why Kew is World famous

the gardens are amazing. OK going bit off

subject. Back to Leona and the concert. At

Kew the concert was done in a slightly

different style to the usual concert in the fact

there was a compaire like the family shows

you went to as a kid, they had competitions

going on and giving out prizes for the people

they picked out shown on the large screens

and asking people to text why the liked

Leona and the best would be upgraded to a

VIP. This gave it a party feel more than a

mere concert. It was a mixure of great music

and facts about Kew Gardens in the

intervals.

First off there was a great set by someone

from the UK version of The Voice, then a

break for say 10 minutes with the

competitions and Kew films to keep us

entertained. Soul II Soul (These would have

been the headline act 25 years ago) who

were one of Britain's top bands in the late

eighties and early nineties with massive club

hits 'Back to Life' and 'Soul II Soul, I Love

You' and 'Keep On Moving'

Now the Main Act, especially if you are aBunny, LEONA LEWIS, she looked stunningin a black low cut dress and pink cloak. Withthe greenhouse illuminated behind the stageand it getting dark and the moon rising inview. It really did look like something from adream, at the Albert Hall it was more formalwith you being allocated a seat but at Kew itwas more closer you feel to Leona and theother acts. There was no seats or balconiesetc and festival/Party atmosphere. She sangthe same set that she did at the Albert Hallbut it seemed different because it was itwasn't a concert in a hall but a mini open airLeona Lewis Music Festival, Kew was mysecret garden on the evening July the 13th.

STUFF FROM THE BUNNIESGood Bye Leonna Lewis Memes

Leona Lewis Memes was a humour and creativebased website set up by Jaldaire Napier, in which Bunnies were also encouraged to contribute to the site with their Leona Lewis themed jokes, humour and artwork. The highlights of the site was it's daily posting on Facebook which would be a funny cartoons with people obsessed about Leona Lewis or photos of the lady herself with comedy captions. please check it out, he is one of us, a Bunny! Art work by Amber Harkin

The site kept us entertained for well over a year and it was there to encourage us Bunnies to get involved

and get involved we did, it actively wanted us to send our funny Leona related stuff and artwork. But due to other commitments the site had to close but is archived at http://leonalewismemes.tumblr.com/
