EditorialHello all you Leona Lewis Loving Bunnies out there. This month see the Music Bunny hoppingover to the continent to do her first proper concert tour dates outside the British Isles, if you canremember back to the summer of 2010 she did dates in the UK & Ireland but this time aroundLeona will be doing her magic in venues across Germany (Before the UK even). Lucky GermanBunnies!

Last month Leona kept herself busy by working with the Body Shop as their Corporate Ambassa-dor to end experiments on animals in labs Worldwide, on the 11th March the law changed so thereis now a total ban on animal experiments in the whole of the European Union. It is now against thelaw to sell cosmetics that have been tested on animals (long over due!!) within the EU whereverthey are made in the World. To celebrate and thank everyone Leona did a live set in London onthe 26th March, the 37th anniversary of the first Body Shop branch opening. Even in 1976 thiscompany wasn’t selling products that were tested on animals, a company way ahead of it’s time.

So without more to say ‘Grab your tickets and enjoy the GLASSHEART TOUR Bunnies! Ohhwho’s excited, this Bunny is getting twitchy the 8th May is coming quickly, then I’m off to the RoyalAlbert Hall in London... Bunny Heaven!!!!

Wehave to think something good must of happenedhere. Any way Leona is still an amazing gift tothe whole World so support and enjoy whereveryou live Bunnies.

Glassheart Tour News! This is the big one. This month sees Leona onthe road again with the Glassheart Tour, laterthis month she will be touring in Germany andthe UK. HAVE YOU GOT YOUR TICKETS BUNNIES?

Leona Does It For BunniesErm the rabbit type (and other animals). On the11th March 2013 all member states of the EU(European Union) outlawed the sale of cosmet-ic, toiletries and beauty products that have beentested on animals. But this is not enough, asthey can still test animals for medical researchand develop of drugs/medicine. Leona and theBody Shop (a Global Retailer) are taking it tothe next level, a total ban on all animal experi-ments and they will not give up to it has gonebeyond the EU and totally banned Worldwide. No animals in labs anywhere!

Leona/Body Shop GigLeona Lewis performed a special Internet onlygig in London on the 26th March to celebrateher new role as the Body Shop’s Global Ambas-sador for animal welfare. It was on this date theBody Shop opened its first outlet in Littlehamp-ton, UK in 1976.

Leona’s In Trouble! »News broke of an immanent single release byLeona in September, called ‘Trouble’ It hit thestores & download sites on the 7th October and‘Glassheart’ got released the following week on15th October. As you agree the wait was worthit!

Glassheart Album SigningOn Monday the 15th October Leona was out &about at HMV in Oxford Street, London signingcopies of her album Glassheart for her fans (theBunnies). The CD was released in three formatsthat day, the standard CD, the Deluxe copy anda special HMV CD with a cardboard slip case.

Hopefield Christmas EventOn the 2nd December Christmas came early forsome Bunnies as Leona returned to Hopefieldand performed, fellow X Factor Winner MattCardell was performing. Full story in the nextissue.

Leona to Tour 2013After the long awaited release of Glassheart Le-ona has announced that she is going to tour inApril and May 2013. So far this has been for UK& Germany dates, there has been no mention ofoverseas dates in other countries but this couldchange (fingers crossed!).

Bunnies Un-happy About PublicityIn the last couple of months Leona has beendoing a lot of appearances on TV and radio inthe UK but very little publicity has been madeabout it. On the BBC Children In Need websitethere are links to all the artistes performancesexcept Leona Lewis’ performances. Not havingLeona’s private life plastered all over the tab-loids is great but not publicising her new releas-es or TV/Radio appearances is criminal. Eventhe Beatles get the song and dance like an newiPhone about re-issues 50 years after release.Myself personally, I am getting most of my infofrom you The Bunnies!

With Olympics staged within a stones throw from thearea that Leona Lewis grew up in, this would of beena golden opportunity for Leona to cash in on thefame. Surprisingly we have heard very little from her,not that she has been lazy the complete opposite. She has very busy working in the background onvarious projects that have arisen because the Olym-pics regeneration of the East London area.

When a Global Sporting Spectacular arrives in yourtown you know it and what great things it brings. Itbrings fame and celebrity to Olympians (and rightlyso, they are all doing their countries proud). TheBunnies may be asking why no Leona at the Open-ing or Closing Ceremonies as she was born & grewup in the surrounding suburbs. The story keeps pop-ping up Leona hasn’t had a higher hit this year, butThe Who had their last hit in the 70's, Queen’s lasthit in 80's and Spice Girls’ last hit in the 90's. Leonahad her last hits 2011, Collide & Hurt.

Leona’s non involvement in the Opening & ClosingCeremonies could also be down to ‘The Isles ofWonder’ the Opening Ceremony & ‘A Symphony ofBritish Music’ the Closing Ceremony was a celebra-tion of Britain. The music of Leona Lewis cannot beclassed as British music even if Leona herselfcomes from Britain. Look at the credits on her al-bums, this would include Swedish song writers,American producers and not forgetting that one ofher songs, written by James Horner (a British song-writer) for an American film, ‘I See You’ on the Ava-

tar soundtrack. Leona is truly a product of theGlobalised World! Even the show she won on, the XFactor, had it’s origins in the Netherlands.

Due to the Olympics there has been a Worldwideinterest into the creativity and culture of East Lon-don, this has lead to a BBC supported project viaRadio 1 and 1extra that helped set up the HackneyAcademy, which local music stars Leona Lewis,Plan B & Labrinth had mentored local young peopleinto producing a show for their community, BBC 3 (aUK based television station) had made a documen-tary on it this was linked to the Hackney WeekendEvent back in June, the three artistes had been in-volved in making this happen with the BBC. Not onlyhad they performed on the shows but worked on theorganisation and promoting the event, like the Olym-pics themselves this would have a lasting legacy forthe music & creative industries surrounding Hack-ney.

While all this was happening Leona Lewis, Labrinth(Timothy McKenzie) & Plan B (Ben Drew) was work-ing BBC3 Television on Project Hackney, to per-suade youngsters into a life of music/performanceand away from the gang/drug culture that they wouldof fallen into. They would mentor the teenagers atTunmarsh School in East London to sing, play mu-sic, record music & stage a show in Hackney,

This Internet broadcast was done in a studio somewhere in London on 26th March. This was to celebrate the total ban on testing cosmetics & beauty products on animalsin all countries in the European Union on the 11th March, also this acknowledgedLeona Lewis becoming a Brand Activist, upon searching what a Brand Activist isGoogle just brought a list of Leona's and the Body Shop's work together. Thetraditional meaning of the word activist is someone or a group people who wantgovernments to change things for the better. A Brand Activist sounds a lot moredeeper than mear Celebrity Endorsement, this sounds more both Leona Lewis andthe Body Shop really want to make the lives of animals change for the better, thisshouldn't be mistaken for Celebrity Endorsements which just use the services offamous people to promote famous brands, that's marketing. The Body Shop & Leonaare working together to change the minds of those in power to make the lives ofanimal more happy.

Leona was dressed in a black one piece with wavy blonde hair and stilettos, shelooked stunning. this took place on the day which was the Body Shop's 37th Anniver-sary their first shop opened in Littlehampton on the South Coast of England by AnitaRoddick DBE, Dame of the British Empire (1942 - 2007), a business woman whocared about human rights, animal rights and the environment.

The playlist of Leona was selected by the Bunnies (Leona Lewis Fans) on Twitter at#tag '#leona should sing'. The gig lasted for half of hour but Leona put a lot into it, shealso found time to answer questions from fans who their messages in advance. Leonasang in an acoustic style;

Come AliveBetter In TimeGlassheartTroubleBleeding Love

Just before the end of the set she said very cutely 'Oh, this is my last song that wentquickly', then signed the global pledge to end (animal) cruelty. Then the show cameto an end to quickly.

n fact this song (Trouble) won't be a BIG hit forLeona. They have done everything right production-wise. They song is dark, edgy, very emotional, greatlyrics.

he concept is great but the execution is not thatamazing.

he song lacks a great melody during the chorusthat Bleeding Love, Run and Better in Time had. Doyou know the songs Wonderful Life or Stay? That'sthe same style, but a really great melody. Troublehas no melody that stays is your head. It only hasthe one line "I am a whole lotta trouble". That's notenough.

urthermore the song is too simple. The sameverse all the time, only a few lines of chorus. Andthe song has no climax. No great belts or anythingelse.

By John Messenbird

The song starts with Leona singing in a soft high pitched voice, at first this reminded me of one of those song sang in the eight-ies or nineties, something like Shakespeare's Sister or the Eversence. All of sudden it kicks into an urban rock style with a true21st Century Edge to it. Feisty like Jessie J's music, not that I have anything against this after all this is the sound of Britain in2012 even if the first few verses have a retro Californian late 60’s early 70’s sound, she didn't waste her time in Los Angelesafter all.

The rap section cleverly has an old skool sound but still sounds modern and fresh, this song would work on many levels. Youcould sit at home and just relax, you could sing-a-long at karaoke, you need an exceptional voice to match Leona's, you could evendance to it. No doubt house music mixes will follow for the clubs.

This is being looked upon as the make or break song for Leona Lewis. She needs to concentrate on winning the mainstream over, the Bunnies will always be there for her Leona will have no Trouble with them. I really hope this become a huge hit like BleedingLove, Leona deserves it and it is a great song
