Church Office to register Monday through Friday 8:00 am

to 5:00 pm or stop by the Parish Hall the first Sunday of

each month following the 8:45 am and 11:00 am Masses.

BAPTISM: We are pleased to help your family prepare for

the special event of your child’s entrance into our faith

community. To help parents and godparents prepare, a

class (English) is held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at

Saturday of each month, at 9:00 am at Guadalupana.

Parents and Godparents must attend this class prior to

MISSION STATEMENT: Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Stewardship Community recognizes Jesus is Lord. We believe that

our Time, Talent and Treasure are gifts from God to be used for the spiritual, educational and social needs of

our community, the Diocese and the world at large, especially the poor.

STEWARDSHIP BY THE BOOK

Elijah recognized the voice of God not in the strong and heavy wind, not in the earth-

quake, and not in the fire, but in a tiny whispering sound. May we find enough quiet in

our clamorous world to hear His voice and discern what He is calling us to do and be.

WORD OF LIFE

“God loves us, treats us with respect, and asks us

to do the same with others. … No one should

ever be treated callously or carelessly—everyone

should be cherished and protected!”

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT STEWARD OF THE WEEK

JANE HOESTEREY

Thank you to Jane for all your hard work and

dedication in organizing the Catholic Heart

Work Camp Mission trip to South Carolina.

The week was great for all who participated!

Thank you for being

a faithful Steward!

Bruce and Elaine Muchler

In today’s Gospel from the Book of Matthew, we hear the remarkable story of Jesus walking on the Sea of Galilee. St. Peter reflects his faith in the Lord when he says, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” Jesus says simply, “Come.” We do not know if Peter stepped into the water or jumped and it does not matter. His faith and trust in the Lord allows Peter, too, to begin to walk on the water. Clearly when Peter’s focus is on Christ, he is able to accomplish this.

However, when Peter loses his focus and begins to observe and think about the storm raging around him, he begins to sink. To Peter’s credit he knows exactly to Whom to turn in that situation. “Lord, save me.” We may often find ourselves in similar circumstances. Peter knew exactly Who to call out to at the moment of crisis. We may do the same.

God truly loves us; we are His children. Listen to the Word of the Lord in Psalm 91: “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

St. Francis de Sales wrote, “Either God will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace then; put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.”

Featured Book of the week: “Feeding Your Family’s Soul dinner table spirituality” “…a vital tool to enable parents to transform a regular dinner time into a prayerful faith lesson for their elementary school to high school aged children. It will indeed help to fulfill the Catholic Church's vision for evangelization in the family and beyond. Through 52 fun and creative faith lessons (one for each week of the year), this one-of-a-kind book will encourage parents and caregivers to seize the opportunity in teaching the Catholic faith to the children (the captive audience waiting to eat!) while gathered at the dinner table, and while reminding them of the value of coming together as a family to break bread and share hearts.” We pray that you had a fantastic school first week and wish you a successful year both teachers & students. Stop in and see our selection of guidebooks for children & teens in dealing with many issues students now face at school! Our clearance table has HUGE markdowns!!! HOW WILL YOU PASS ON YOUR

CATHOLIC LEGACY?

Just as we plan to ensure financial health for our

families, we must plan for the health of our

“faith families.” Your planned gift to our

Endowment Fund of Blessed Trinity will

provide financial support for generations to

come. It’s a wonderful way to steward your

finances and pass along your faith and love for

Blessed Trinity. You have a wonderful Catholic

legacy. Pass in On! To learn more about the advantages of making a

planned gift to The Blessed Trinity Endowment Fund

for the benefit of our church, please contact Colleen

Halstead at 352-629-8092 ext. 3218.
