1 | LOGO & COLORS
LOGOThe logo is established upon exact proportions set by the letterforms. This most prominently applies when defining the amount of spacing to use between each element. On the left is a visual breakdown of how this is determined. The vertical spacing is rooted in the height of the bar of the “T” in “BLUEPRINT” and each space is either an equivalent of this bar, half, or twice it’s height. The left and right margins are defined as an equivalent to the width of the “H” in “HARDWARE”. These proportions and letterforms should not be changed or altered in any way.
1 | LOGO & COLORS
LOGO DO’SThe images on the left are examples of how the logo should be displayed on all printed and non-printed material. The colors should remain as either Blueprint Blue (defined in the colors section) and white, or black and white. The logo must be displayed larger than one inch on the longest side at all times.
1 | LOGO & COLORS
LOGO DON’TSThe images on the left are examples of how the logo should NOT be represented. In order to keep the integrity of the logo, do not display it in any of the following manners:
+ Do NOT change the color of the logo to anything other than Blueprint Blue.
+ Do NOT skew the logo in any direction.
+ Do NOT disproportionally scale the logo.
+ Do NOT abbreviate the logo, or cut out any parts.
+ Do NOT reverse the colors of the logo.
+ Do NOT drop out the logo to place in front of an image or color.
+ Do NOT change the shape or outline of the logo.
+ Do NOT reduce the logo to smaller than an inch on the longest side.

MANAGER’S UNIFORMManagers will dress in a specific uniform to allow the public to quickly and easily distinguish them from other customers, as well as from other sales associates. The manager uniform will consist of a Blueprint Blue colored shirt, with a white collar. Blueprint Hardware’s logo is on the right side of each shirt. Their ID badges will also reflect this sysem by having a white strap that is worn around the neck. To accompany the collared shirt, Blueprint Hardware managers will be required to wear black or navy blue dress pants and black shoes.
5 | UNIFORM SYSTEM
SALES ASSOCIATESales associates have a similar dress policy as the managers. The difference lies in the collar staying a constant blue, consistant with the Blueprint Blue color of the shirt. Their ID badges will also have a Blueprint Blue strap to be worn around the neck. Sales associates will be required to wear dark bluejeans with black steel-toed shoes.
5 | UNIFORM SYSTEM
COLLATERALBlueprint Hardware has many applications to consider when branding collateral. The following section will cover samples of how these things may be handled to provide a consistant identity across all mediums.
6 | COLLATERAL
LETTERHEAD & ENVELOPEThis letterhead is the official letterhead for Blueprint Hardware. This document will be sized to the standard US Letter size of 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Any one page documents that must be sent out in letter form will adhere to this layout and color scheme. The body type will be set in Museo Sans 300, at 10 points. If a paragraph must break there will be an equivalent of three spaces for indentation, with no returns between each paragraph. All body text will be left aligned, with a left side margin of 2 inches to the edge of the paper. Signatures will always be placed, left aligned, below the last line of the letterhead body text, allowing the text to extend farther than this example if necessary.
All letterheads and invoices will be fit to the Blueprint Hardware envelope. Keeping consistant with many items of the brand identity, the logo will be placed in a right-hand orientation on both the letterhead and the envelope with a blue bar crossing the items horizontally.
6 | COLLATERAL
GIFT CARDThis example of a Blueprint Hardware gift card shows how a creative approach can be taken on collateral while still keeping a consistant identity in mind. Some items, such as this, may utilize a left-aligned placement of the logo in relation to the product. While keeping the colors strictly Blueprint Blue and white, and using our official typefaces in the appropriate ways, the brand identity is able to successfully stay intact.
6 | COLLATERAL
SAFETY EQUIPMENTSafety is very important at Blueprint Hardware. As depicted on the left, Blueprint utilizes its logo on and has both official gloves and hard hats.
6 | COLLATERAL
MERCHANDISE CARRIERSOn the left are examples of where the logo should be placed on both the store’s shopping carts and plastic bags used to take home merchandise.
